A perfect Friday lunch in the garden of the Guildford Arms Pub. The food, drink and service was excellent and we will be back! The roast Hispi cabbage with kimchi was so delicious!!! One of our favourite pubs in SE London.
Service, food and vibe are all excellent. You feel welcomed and chilled from the start to finish. Back garden is good maintained with good spaces between tables and seats. I had the grilled pork belly and it was delicious, most importantly they are not cold. Table settings are good and clean. Waiter and waitresses were with a smile on their faces and I believe they have a good working environment. All tips and service charges are going to the staffs pockets that's nice to know.
The menu is always nice here, Sunday roasts and a few more classics are a go-to for us. Desserts are absolutely amazing. The staff is kind and helpful. Perfect place for a Sunday roast with family and friends. And it is family and pet friendly
A must-visit gastropub. I definitely fell in-love with their Sunday roast. Everything from the appetisers to the main courses to the desserts and beverages is delicious, fresh and of good quality. You will also be properly taken care of, since all staff members wear an infectious smile and check on how things are going. Additionally, I've also observed how well they catered to each of their client’s request. Moreover, the atmosphere is also perfect for social gatherings with friends and loved ones. If you love drinking outdoor, their garden is magnificent in the summer. It is without a doubt one of the most amazing location I have ever visited.
Absolutely delicious food, this pasta was actually a starter but was far bigger than I thought it would be. I tried all of the dishes on my table and they were great, however the chilli broccoli you can see in the photo was the only miss for me, I found it a bit too oily and not great flavour. The menu had a note of exactly which suppliers were used for different ingredients and they were all local which I thought was excellent. The staff were also super friendly and attentive
The food, service and atmosphere were all exactly the sort of special you want when you go for a good night out with friends. There were no long waits, everything was relaxed and the food was impeccable with well balanced flavours and satisfying proportions. Definitely the sort of place that you would keep coming back to.
Lovely experience in this pub. We went for a pint on Sunday evening with our puppy and the staff were amazing. Dog bowl and treats were provided. They're also very friendly and service was excellent. They have outdoor seating that we didn't expect downstairs with great ambience. Turns out the pub is bigger than expected. Definitely would come back and try their food next time.
Our server was a nice gentleman, unfortunately did not get his name. Went with family, for a reunion of sorts. Visiting from Canada, so I've never been here. Ordered the set menu. Tomato soup (it was alright, a tomato basil or a tomato bisque would have been better), the imam's bayild (the topping was amazing, not the biggest egg plant fan), and the cheese for dessert (chutney on the sweet side). Would certainly come back and try something new. Coffee a little on the tart/sour side.
Had a very nice Sunday lunch here. The nut roast was very good. The brocoli was fantasticly green.The staff are friendly and enthusiastic. Nice atmosphere and pleasant surroundings. One staff member initially said that there was no vegetarian gravy but there was, so I was happy. Vegetarians want gravy on their Yorkshire pudding as well. Two pictures shown, one dinner from the Guildford Arms and one dinner I cooked, both very delicious and healthy.
