Our ramblers group diverted from our Capital Ring walk from Falconwood to dine at the Eltham GPO on a Monday lunchtime. And what a great choice it was for lunch. There is a good selection of lagers and 3 beers on tap. A wide selection of food was available, all of which was delicious. Service was prompt and the bar staff very courteous. And to top it all off food on Mondays is half price! The only criticism was that they had problems with the heating which meant the only source of heat was the open fire at the centre of the pub. That apart we would recommend this pub and would return again when we are in the area.

Visited this pub a few times, been a while since we had food here. A nicely decorated pub, has a shabby chic and cosy feel to it. They have a new menu so thought we would give it a try. A good choice of dishes available. All our dishes were delicious and full of flavour. The service is a little inconsistent, the lady who took our order was excellent, very attentive and friendly as was the guy at the bar who served our drinks. Some of the others weren’t up to the same standard. All in all, a great pub serving great food, would recommend and definitely be back!

Had the smash burger and baileys cheesecake. Just lovely. Service was swift and with a smile. 50% off food was truly a blessing in these trying times. The blue moon is top notch here too!

Came here with my wife for a Sunday roast. The pub was very nice, the staff was very courteous, the food was really nice and a pint of lager was under £6. Facilities were well attended too and overall experience was 5*

Enjoyed dinner and wine here on Friday night with friends. The halloumi salad was lovely and wine too. All staff were friendly and v prompt service. Sid looked after us and he was delightful. He was friendly, attentive and really welcomed us on our first visit. We look forward to going again as v well priced too and glad found a lovely local place to eat.

Been there a few times since moved to the area and I've been very (pleasantly) surprised recently with the food! They definitely changed their attitude towards the kitchen (maybe a new Head Chef?) and it really shows! Food was tasty, good portion and reasonably priced. Which is great news since the area can really do with better restaurants/ nice food! I've always come back for the beer selection and atmosphere, but now I'll definitely be back for the food too!!!

Preslie did a fantastic job organising my engagement do! I wanted something low key but also make a night of it and Eltham GPO totally delivered! Food was fab, we got the meat platter, veg platter and sausage roll platter (not your standard sausage rolls either!). We also got the tab deal which made our night even more special for ourselves and our guests. No charge for booking tables, so don't sleep on booking the GPO for your next event, big or small! (Also they allow doggies so that is always a plus!)

Brilliant little pub, cozy, clean and friendly staff - worth a visit. 2 pints of wiesbeer £10.80. Various options from London breweries too. Food was good for nibbles. Nice decor all around except the men's toilets was a bit strange, it looks like the walls are all wet with condensation so enhances the "toilet vibe", not entirely sure it's a great thing haha. Otherwise nice pub worth stopping in!
