Went to the queens head yesterday with my family, as we always do, the atmosphere was great in there, however the lady behind the bar may need to work on her customer service skills. I was there at 5.30pm at the bar with my little sister who is 12 and as I was ordering my drink and about to order a coke for my little sister, with an attitude she asked for both our IDs and assumed that I was about to order alcohol for her before me even finishing my order. We had two other kids in there and asked if kids were allowed in as we were unsure as to why she was asking to see a 12 year olds ID, and she said to my friend that they can but we are not to order them alcohol, (one of the children is 6 years old). I did not like the fact that she made an assumption that we were going to give them alcohol. Other than that I think it’s a lovely place and good vibes and atmosphere.

Came to The Queen’s Head for their Christmas Menu to meet friends, at 6.30pm Food was nice, but could have had a bigger piggy in blanket! (See photo) The pub was very Christmassy but got very noisy as the evening went on, unfortunately we left as couldn’t talk to talk to each other!

The Queen’s Head in Chislehurst is one of those pubs that strikes a lovely balance between tradition and modern comfort. Set right by the ponds, the location is hard to beat, especially on a sunny afternoon when you can sit outside and enjoy the relaxed village atmosphere. Inside, it’s spacious and welcoming, with plenty of seating options whether you’re after a casual drink or a sit-down meal. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, making you feel welcome even during busier times. Service is generally quick, and they’re happy to accommodate requests, which makes a difference. The drinks selection is excellent, with well-kept ales, good wines, and plenty of choice for non-beer drinkers too. Food is solid pub fare at fair prices. The Sunday roasts are a highlight, hearty and good value, while the midweek specials add variety if you’re looking for something different. Portions are generous, and although not every dish is perfect, overall it’s reliable and enjoyable. All in all, The Queen’s Head is a great local pub – perfect for a relaxed meal, a catch-up with friends, or just a pint by the water. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Chislehurst.

I recently held a wake for my late mother at The Queen’s Head, and I cannot praise the team enough. From start to finish, the staff were incredibly attentive, compassionate, and professional. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly during such an emotional time. The food was outstanding—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and served in generous portions. There was a fantastic variety, and it was all so well received by our guests—it disappeared in no time! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff made everyone feel comfortable and cared for. I wholeheartedly recommend The Queen’s Head to anyone looking for a venue to host a wake or any special gathering. Their dedication, kindness, and attention to detail made a difficult day so much easier. Thank you for everything!

Christmas Day 2024 This was our first Christmas Day visit and I was very impressed. The food was excellent and staff were very friendly. We did have to wait a fair bit in between courses but I was very happy with that as it allowed time for food to digest, meaning I didn’t leave feeling too full! We were not rushed to leave which was another bonus. Would I book again? Absolutely!

We went to this pub to celebrate a birthday and we were not disappointed. I've been here before with my daughter and we both loved it. Our server Sean was amazing so I was thrilled that hi was still there and was as kind and thoughtful as last time. Hi recommendations were spot on (especially as my other half is vegetarian) and there were so many options. A wonderful night for us and I cannot thank Sean enough for making it so special.

My wife works for the Mitchell & Butler group and we are always happy with the quality of service and food within the groups chain of pubs and restaurants However this was by far the worst meal and service we have had. Food was very slow, waitresses had no idea what they were doing and what was on the menu, starters were cold (baked mushrooms and chicken wings) and mains were burnt and were missing items. I honestly will usually eat anything but I left the chicken katsu burger as it was awful

Love sitting by the fireplace. But the last time I went for food the kitchen was closed. The time before they had run out of lemonade. The time before they had run out of hot chocolate and syrup so couldn't get any of the drinks we went for. Will still go back for a chat with a friend or a bowl of chips as it's clean here.

Went out for a quick drink after the food shop to the GPO in Eltham. It was such an awful experience so decided to pop to The Queens Head instead. Absolutely great atmosphere, staff were really on it with serving (it was busy). Very polite and having fun. It’s nice to see people behind the bar having a laugh and enjoying their jobs. Will definitely be making this out new regular.

Nicely decorated pub especially with the revamp it has had recently. Good pint of guinness and good friendly service. however, lager tasted a bit funny as though the lines could be cleared? Also the food quality has not improved and is abysmal, seems like a lot of the food is microwaved /frozen food and the vegetarian burger was poor.
