We had a big group in for a family lunch in the heated garden space and everything was perfect. Kids could free flow to the play area, food came out quickly and was delicious, staff were all nailing it. And the place looked beautiful - the attention to detail for the Christmas decorations was impressive.

Lovely evening. Great food and great service, meetings friend before christmas. Lovely warm atmosphere. Would recommend! Its a lovely pub for summer evenings too with loads of outside seating. We spent quite a bit as it was near to christmas but food prices were pretty reasonable. Lovely steak!

The worst food I have ever had in a pub. As I am a vegan I never expect too much anyway but this was terrible. I went with a group of friends for a Christmas meal but was not allowed to order from the Christmas menu that was on the table. I had to ask if there were any vegan starters as there were none marked on the menu. It turns out the celeriac with apple sauce is vegan but frankly I wished I had saved myself from the experience as it was truly awful. There was only one main course available, a burger, how original! Now in my experience burgers usually are quite spectacular filled with salad, sauces and onions, not this one. There was not a lettuce leaf or a tasty relish in site. It was like a burger van burger you get at the football but for twice the price. Save yourself from this expensive experience. Our table was charged Β£75 service charge! We were in a pub eating terrible pub food! Never again.

We arrived around 1pm on Sunday and were told we could only have the table until 3pm, which we accepted. We ordered drinks, but then were left and had to get up ourselves to order food at around 1:15. By 2:15, after still not being served, I had to ask where our food was and remind staff that we only had the table until 3. We were told it was β€œthe next one out.” When the roast beef finally arrived after a 45-minute wait, it was lukewarm. The plates were cold, and it was clear the food had been sitting around. Staff offered to reheat or replace it, but with so little time left, that wasn’t realistic and reheating roast beef would have ruined the meal anyway. To make things worse, the bill we calculated at Β£64 jumped to Β£73 because of a service charge that was never mentioned by staff and not clearly signed anywhere. There was no indication that it could be refused or removed. It was embarrassing to be presented with this unexpectedly, especially after already complaining about the food. For lukewarm food, long waits, and a surprise Β£73 bill, this was a really poor experience. We won’t be returning.

Lovely garden, tasty food, served fast with a smile. Had cod sandwichβ€”piping hotβ€”10Β£ burger special (Monday / Tuesday). Chips expertly seasoned. Celeriac was on the menu and scrumptious. Tasty beers. Pleasant music not too loud. All good!

Fantastic local pub, full to brim on a Sunday enjoying a roast. I haven’t been back in this pub in years. But thought we’d try it again as heard lots of good things. The pub has a great efficient team looking after its customers. When we turned up half an hour early they asked us to have a drink at the bar to wait but came out ten minutes later to find us when they had a free table earlier than expected. The food was great - lovely good quality beef for the roast and great options for kids, which they were prepared to adjust for the one in our group. Such a delight to see loads and loads of families - it really caters for them. Will definitely go again.

Went there for a Sunday roast. The portions are big and the quality is excellent. The beef melts in your mouth and the Yorkshire pudding is worthy of its name! Staff is attentive and helpful, so it makes the experience even more delightful. Wholeheartedly recommend, you won't be disappointed!

Delicious roast, chicken had a Smoked taste and was so tender, beef super tasty and tender too! Good veg and a massive Yorkshire pudding too! Great food!
