    Twice a year, summer and Christmas we have our work party at the foresters. We always have around 40-50 people and always chose the buffet food from there bespoke food brochure. Even swapping some items on the list was not to much trouble. I cannot recommend the foresters enough! Jen and her team was fantastic throughout the whole night. The food was great, DJ played all the classics and we had a great time. We will never look anywhere else other than the foresters to hold our work events. Top venue and great staff! Thanks Jen.     Unbelievable food! Proper home cooked meal for good value 100% will be back for some winter grub. Good choice of drinks, wine glasses aren’t the best if you’re a wine glass snob like me but other than that can’t complain at all. Really nice pub we will be back. Staff are really friendly but had to ask twice for the bill and still ended up paying at the bar. Only negative to say.

    Jen + the team were so accommodating for our group of 15 friends after a hike. The food was delicious, service was great, easy to pay at the end. We just had to pre order the roast but everything was very smooth for our large group. Would definitely recommend!

    Great pub. Used to live next door 30 years ago. Paid a visit today and as good as ever. Plenty of seating on the terrace and in the garden to the side. Nice to come to after a walk on the forest over the road.

    Great Sunday lunch with family. Starters were all delicious as were our mains. Will return as plenty on the menu I'd like to try myself ! The staff were all chatty & friendly & made time even though the pub was full to bursting with big tables of diners. Recommended, we'll definitely be back a few more times !

    Four of us went today for Sunday lunch. When I walked in, I thought it was Battersea Dogs’ Home. I’m a real dog lover but the smell was so off-putting. I asked for a fresh air spray to be sprayed on the floor where a dog had previously been sitting at my table ,but was declined. Although the food was good, and I know it’s a dog friendly pub, I’ll never go back to eat there for Sunday lunch or anytime in the evening unless you want to believe you’re sitting in a kennel with the smell!

    Neat little pub tucked away next to Epping forest in a very calm setting. Very interesting decor and friendly service. Check their website to avoid the few hours each afternoon when kitchen is closed. Food was delicious with great range of daily specials on top of standard menu.
