Overpriced and underwhelming food. Our plates were stone cold which made the food go cold very quickly. We ended up with a cold plate of food within a few minutes of it being brought out. I wouldn't recommend eating here.

Over priced food. The staff were unfriendly. Some of the customers were quite unpleasant. Much better places in the area. Probably the worst dining experience we've had in a long while

We had an excellent roast dinner here last Sunday after a walk in the woods around the corner. Despite some initial confusion about our reservation (which was resolved later anyway) we were still offered a table soon after and our dog was also given a bowl of water without any questions being asked. The service was really friendly from all staff and we would definitely come back, especially as we were informed that our dog can even have a roast here which is a novelty that would make her year!

Brilliant pub. Inside space can be a bit of a squeeze at times but mostly very spacious and the beer garden is great and has a children’s play area. But above all are the staff - genuinely take an interest and are just fantastic. They always go above and beyond to make you experience the best it can be. Love going here!

Living extremely locally - firstly I have to say that on good days I feel extremely fortunate to have this little vibrant pub so close to home...on their mad/bad days - not quite so much. Their patrons couldn't give a toss about where they park and late at night - the street can get quite raucous. Two of us popped in here for an early dinner after a round of golf at West Essex. Food here can usually be described as "steady but unremarkable"...it reminded me of why I hadn't eaten here for over two years. Cod was beautiful...but with overcooked (hence slightly bitter chips) and an incredibly light "smearing/cum-stain" of tartare sauce and mushy-peas, which is now being described as a "pea-puree"...I guess that's inflationary cost-cutting for you. You used to get small silver pots of both on the side - and very neatly stacked chunky chips! It was almost as if the chips today were left-overs from lunch service and had just been plonked back in the fryer and re-served. These little tricks that kitchen staff carry out behind your back - in order to save money. Clearly cost-pressures are prevalent and cost-cutting rife. It was just about okay. Admittedly a clean plate from me but it was 6pm and I'd eaten nothing since the day before! It'll probably be at least another two years - before I give the place another go. Shame...but whilst we're being forced to endure a Labour Government...we're living in some very desperate times - and we all know what desperate times call for...

The most amazing roast I have had in a very long time full of flavour! Definitely coming back here, all the staff were friendly and go above and beyond! :)

Moved into the area not too long ago and found this excellent pub with a fantastic atmosphere, proper old school local. Very friendly bar staff, a reflection of the landlord who is also old school as he likes to mix with his customers and make sure they are having a good time. Great selection of beers, they do food but I haven’t tried it yet….will be back soon though.

Had a tasty meal, very good service and they were great with my son's dietary requirements. Also big portions, even husband couldn't finish it! Very pleased.

Lovely family pub. Great food and their pie and liquor is class. Adam who owns it is a lovely family man and is very accommodating. Will definitely be back here as often as possible

Great services and really friendly staff. The restaurant is really nice and the old style bar feel makes for a great Tradition Sunday Roast. Down side was the pork was a little dry to eat. After lunch had a nice sit outside in the beer Garden. Good local pub.
