Lovely staff and a very chill wee historic place that’s retained a lot of its charm. Barmaid was wonderful.
Staying locally we have visited this venue a few times with our children and 2 dogs. A very friendly, welcoming fun place that has a fantastic atmosphere. Due to refurbishing the kitchen, food was not available. However, the pub owners recommended, adjacent is a barge boats on the canal "Baltic Seafood" where we could purchase food and bring back to the pub to enjoy. The TV was showing live sport and we al enjoyed playing a game of darts too.
Cosy quiet pub, went to watch a football fixture. Loved the fireplace. Would definitely return

Could be a great pub if it had a bit of a revamp. The lounge bar feels like a station waiting room. Food, music and the odd quiz night etc to attract more customers would be good. Lovely spot next to the canal and friendly people though. Lots of potential.
