Decent local pub with a friendly atmosphere. Plenty of seating available most times, plus pool, darts, and lots of TVs for watching sports. Drinks selection is a bit limited if you’re after premium spirits, but still a good spot overall.
Standard pub. Friendly staff. Large enough to get a table when ever you go. Limited on spirits if you want a really nice gin or vodka. They have pool table and darts and lots of screens for sports.
no nonsense traditional pub. standard interior with pool table and darts area. Staff are friendly and so are the local customers there. They show the football and sports on the tv. Screens are spread out so space for all. I have not eaten there.
This is a proper local. Not much in the way of selection of ales but decent enough if you live nearby. (There aren't many options for pubs in Woodford Green.) I wouldn't go out of my way to visit it but will absolutely drop in next time I'm passing. When you get to know the regulars, I'm sure it's a good pub to frequent.

Popped in, with no previous experience of the pub and not having been in Woodford for 20 years or so. Surprise, the pub was welcoming, light banter as much on tap as a range of beers and lagers. Well worthy a visit.
I've lived in the area for 30 years and this is the first time I've visited the Railway Tavern. It was OK. Reasonable value. It was late on a Wednesday evening and very quiet so it would be unfair to judge the pub harshly. Given it has precious little competition it could be worse. I would call it a locals' pub
This is a nice friendly traditional pub. It's good for watching sports or playing pool. They also have a jukebox! It's not really the place to go for an evening out with the missus but everyone's friendly and has a decent atmosphere
