Lovely pub. People were really friendly. Went here before another heavy thrashing for our team but this place was a real highlight which if we're ever back in the area will come back to.
Quality local pub. Good value drinks, sports on the box, good service, proper regular locals who are friendly to everyone and chatty. Jukebox playing tunes, toilets fine, pool table there. Has a great feel to it. A really good old style pub.
Very tasty Guinness - beats central London Guinness by a mile, for 2/3rds the cost. Perfect cool temperature, thick head, sweet and non-tangy flavour.
Might be old from the outside but it is not as inside. Friendly staff with a warm welcome. Cool beer and cool music. I felt the old style of bar and it was a great experience.
I love an old school pub but not a complete dump with a pint as flat as a pancake and service without a smile. Avoid.

My local. Rough around the edges but if you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a few drinks (at a very reasonable cost), play a couple of games of pool or darts and watch some live football, this place does the job. No food, nice staff. A proper boozer.
Proper lively little pub...friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere all round. Went as a family for the first England game of the season and did not regret it...We shall return this evening for the next game and as many as we can after that.
I'm afraid I have to say the bartender would not sell a drink to me and told me she only sells to members only......this was after a hard day's work when I visited this pub for a quick drink ....and to be honest did not feel welcome.....this was about 11 years ago......hence, will give it the benefit of the doubt.....could be new management at present... .2 stars hope for the best as of now and will pay a surprise visit again......
