This was my actual "end of the Capital Ring" pint and what a basic, honest "boozer" to experience it in. Bar staff were friendly, beer was good (small selection for beer-aspirants like me) and the pub had that beaten, lived-in quality that is becoming increasingly rare. Fantastic. I only really picked it because it was the closest place I could find to the southern end of the Woolwich Foot Tunnel but was very glad of the experience.

Lovely old pub! Nice ale and gorgeous Guinness! Asked if I could bring in Pickles, my dog, the barmaid said yes and offered him some water. Had a great evening and meet some lovely people! Pickles made friends too!

Good pub. £4.20 for a pint of Fosters. Real locals community pub. Pretty old decor. Darts board is there. A few books on the shelf. Pub quiz one night. TV with sport on. Decent enough place with friendly people in it.

Cold and miserable. What a soulless place. Nothing to entice me to go back after my one and only visit.

Very decent old school boozer. The place just looks you just travelled in time 40 years and they even have a juke box ! We do not have a lot of that sort of infependent pubs like that in London anymore and they should be treasured. The bloke that runs it does it very well. I have not been during their busy times but look forward to doing it sometime.

Mens sit down toilet door has no handle, you go in close the door, and then can't get out, I've complained twice and still they won't put a £2 handle on the door. The serving staff are normally found outside smoking a cigarette rather than inside cleaning the bar, it's generally a pretty poor pub.

First impression. Old Pub. Staff welcoming and chatty. Customer next to me, he started chatting and made me feel really welcome to the Rose and the area. Random side. Their is a parrot in pub, iguana and a Original Steven Gerard football boot. Reasonable prices, and a few real ales. yes I would visit again if in area. Reason for 5 is its Randomness of everything good. THANKS
