All of the bar staff are great, however the security on the door were unnecessarily rude and intimidating, particularly towards women. One doorman in particular was very unpleasant to me and my friend when we simply wanted to make sure our friend got into her lift home safely. When asked for his name, he refused to give his real name, which felt unprofessional and added to how uncomfortable the interaction was. When we asked if it would be okay to walk our friend to her car and then come back inside, we were met with passive-aggressive responses and told that if we crossed a certain line we would not be allowed back in. We followed his instructions without any argument. However, when we briefly looked around the corner to check on our friend, he accused us of “disrespecting his job.” All we wanted to do was ensure our friend’s safety. When I asked him if he could keep an eye out since we had been told we couldn’t, he laughed and told me not to worry and that he knew how to do his job. Given the reality that young women are often targeted after nights out, I would expect door staff at a late-night venue to understand why friends would want to look out for one another. Instead, we were met with rude and dismissive behaviour. I attempted to explain this calmly, but he repeatedly spoke over me and even said, “Are you going to keep talking or are you going to let me say what I want to say?” I was sober, calm, and respectful throughout the interaction, yet the response I received was completely disproportionate, as if I had been aggressive or abusive, which I was not. My dad is a doorman, so I understand the job and the challenges that come with it. However, working a night shift—especially on Christmas Eve—is not an excuse to be rude or passive-aggressive towards two young women who were simply concerned for a friend’s safety. The usual door staff at O’Neill’s are generally great and work very hard, which makes this experience even more disappointing. It’s a shame that one individual has left me with such a negative impression.

We did celebrate our Christmas company dinner last night. When we got there the pub was crowed (football night) and loud. As soon as the football finished, thr atmosphere was chilled and nice. Richard , the AGM, was very attentive during the whole night, the food was great too. We would definitely go back there again. Great customer service of one of the guys behind the bar. As a retailer I know how challenging customers can be, and he absolutely exceed expectations. Thank you Richard and team

We had a fantastic night here on Friday! Booked one of the upper floors for a private event and it was a great night :) the staff were very attentive, the drinks and the food were lovely. The staff kept our area clear too, so it was a massive success. Thank you to everyone who made the party a hit! X

Spacious pub, with plenty of seatings. Great value for money with regards to food. The steak in particular is good value and quality is better than expected.

I visited this place during the daytime and the service was good, plus, the Camden Hells pint was just as enjoyable as always. I’m not sure why I went for the meal deal though. The price is great, only £8.75, but the quality reflects that: cheap. The fries were overdone or possibly re-cooked, as some were hollow inside, and the burger tasted like something you’d get at the lowest-end venues. It was nice that you could add a pint for just £1 more, but again, only the cheapest lagers are included, which ruins the experience. There’s an option for Guinness, but I’m not a fan. Overall, it’s decent value for money but poor in quality. I should have stuck with the Camden Hells and skipped the food altogether. I might come back for drinks, but definitely not for the food.

I had an amazing time here with my work colleagues, the staff were incredibly friendly and positive despite the size of our booking everything that we were served was done with a smile and tasted awesome. The Banter at the bar was perfection and I personally had the Pork Bao buns and bangers and mash. Our whole party left fed ecstatic and on a high. My personal thanks to the staff, manager and the chef. Thank you so much.

Typical O'Neills. Very good, wide choice of drinks. Friendly staff, lively atmosphere. This one is a very big place compared to some.

I popped in for a drink after shopping so just a quiet afternoon review and not a peak time one! Big ol' place so I guess it gets a good crowd. The staff were OK but if you can't keep track of who is next when there is only 4 customers and at least 2 staff then it doesn't bode well. Really annoying to see that my glass was really dirty as there is no need for that when you have plenty of staff on a quiet day. Food looked and smelled good as it went to a nearby table but I didn't have time to order.i wouldn't rush back but I wouldnt avoid either - been in FAR worse

What a great night out on Saturday. Music was good and the bar staff were brilliant. Security was really polite I don't know how they deal with the young ones that clearly can't control their drink I couldn't do it lol. Nice to see security that don't bully and also great to see a female who does the job proud. I will be back with the boys. Consider over 21''s??? Great night!!!
