   There’s a really nice energy in this pub – lively enough to feel social, but not so loud that you can’t have a conversation. The mix of background music, friendly chatter, and great service creates a genuinely enjoyable atmosphere. It’s clear people come here not just for the food and drinks, but for the feeling of the place.

   Came here as a group of 6, enough seats and wasn’t too busy for a Tuesday night. Had phoned ahead to check this time round they has steak, as when previously visited they didn’t. Fair enough we ordered 4 steaks however 30mins later we were informed there was only 1. Very disappointing, fair enough they had run out but the tills ideally should be up today with the stock and you would want to be told in 5mins not 30mins! After changing 3 peoples orders, one was for ham egg and chips and one was fish and chips with bread and butter. We were told they couldn’t give us a time on how long the food would be, but didn’t expect to wait 50mins! And if you didn’t know the wait time then maybe an inclining of time would have been helpful if it was to be over 30mins. So when waiting for all that time, the eggs were not runny, and the bread and butter for the fish and chips meal we had to get this from the bar and the butter was placed on the bread like the photo, unbelievable was totally un spreadable. Of course we got a refund for the difference but there was just no offer of any goodwill whatsover apart from serving us an extra bowl of chips as each plate looked to have a lack of chips. May be ok for drinks, but I just wouldn’t risk having a meal here due to timings and lack of service.

   The Camden is one of my locals i like to go to for easy drinks. After coming back from work I ordered a breakfast and im not even sure you can call it that. The sausages were like bricks. You expect some nice massive ones but they were disappointing when served. One was definitely microwaved as It felt like I was trying to cut concrete. Rest of the plate was nice and staff are very friendly though.

   Thank you so much for this wonderful experience! It is a very lovely pub with a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and I would definitely recommend it to everyone. The location is also very convenient, as it is close to Bexleyheath station, which makes it easy to find. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the steak ale pie, and it was such a nice, hearty meal served with chips and gravy. The portion size was perfect, the flavors were rich, and everything was cooked beautifully. The staff were friendly and attentive, which made the whole visit even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I will definitely be coming back again

   Fantastic experience at William Camden Bar & Restaurant! The food was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and perfectly balanced between lively and relaxed. Special thanks to Paddy for his exceptional service – friendly, attentive, and spot-on with recommendations. He truly enhanced our visit. Highly recommend for a great meal and drinks. We’ll definitely be returning..

   Nice pub, good staff, refurbishment was a nice touch, i am sure the garden areas will be great in the summer. Good value of price for drinks. The only reason i have not given 5 stars is because the staff do have a tendency to mess up bookings, and one time i booked for a game to watch the world cup, they lost my booking and had no remorse, which i felt to be quite rude considering it was their fault, but overall a great pub.

   The pub is looking great since the refurbishment but what really stood out was the great service I always get from one of the bar staff members named Jesse, always polite and always willing to have a chat with myself asking how I am and how my daughter is doing.

   3 because it's okay - better than it was but so far I have reported TWO serious issues. Read below but let me review the basics. Beer quality is there, glasses clean. Food I would not eat here and as I said above here is why. As you enter the pub the gents toilet to the left is often a 'hotspot' often no soap, a few days ago a friend reported a mess left in the pan! Staff left a note not to use but left it. Disgusting. It was reported at the time and they drag a mop and bucket through the bar to the toilet and back without washing hands (am told from observation so this may not be true) now that could be contagious!! Hygiene hygiene hygiene. Second issue was refuse collectors, yes orange suits in the pub! The hygiene risks are obvious. Will not return!

   Recently refurbished and looks very nice. However very disappointed with the time we waited for food to arrive (on a Monday) very quiet when we ordered. Food arrived and all of my dish was cold. They did replace it, but again the wait was very long. Other members of our party also had food that wasn't hot. It's a shame because when I received hot food it was really nice and reasonably priced too. Hopefully this is a teething problem and the kitchen staff manage to correct this.

   We had a fantastic family birthday celebration at the newly refurbished William Camden. After what could have turned into a disastrous evening due to unforseen staff shortage in the kitchen, Wai the manager turned things around and even cooked for us! We enjoyed a lovely dinner and a few drinks. The kids were entertained with the board games provided too.
