We visited on Monday for Lunch. Mark and his team were fantastic throughout our visit. Regular checks to make sure we were happy and asking if we wanted more drinks. The food! Just WOW! Best Pub Lunch/food that Iβve had in a long time. You could tell it was all fresh and tasted amazing! Some of us went for the Pie of the Day. It was Steak and Venison! If you visit and itβs on the menu I recommend you to order it. The meat chunks were huge and melted in your mouth. Without a doubt the best pie Iβve eaten in years. We were sat upstairs on our own which was nice as we felt like we had a private dining room but we werenβt forgotten about which is lovely! Definitely going to visit again. The food was amazing but the atmosphere and Mark & his Team really made the visit special!

This is the third time I have been with my BSB team, I was one of a party of 30ish guests booked in at the weekend, the atmosphere is amazing, staff worked hard to accommodate us all, there was a bad review left by one of our party members which was not very nice, but after talking to the others in the party they were happy with everything. This is the last round of the season and it was lovely to get everyone together. Hope we book with you again next year minus the bad reviewer. Thank you again for accommodating a large group and well done to all your staff.

Service is atrocious. Turned up to be met by a full bar and only 1 serving. I was in a party of 30, and they obviously thought they could cope. How wrong they were. Starters eventually came out 45 minutes, after the table was booked for. Even though the Lion had orders an adequate number of hours before. My steak was overcooked and full of gristle. Certainly not worth Β£30. Couldnβt send it back as no one came round to ask if everything was ok. Definitely donβt recommend the place and wonβt be back.

We had a lovely meal and Tina couldnβt do more for us. She was attentive, friendly, and very helpful. We will definitely return, especially as the deals can be so amazing!

A real hidden gem! Me and my partner came here Saturday evening (30th August). The food was excellent, I had 2 fish dishes and my partner had the soup of the day and the house burger. He said the burger was the best he has ever had, and it was all full of flavour as well as being very well cooked! A special mention goes to Claire W, her customer service was fab, and she went above and beyond to make sure we were all okay, she was a delight and people like her deserve to be recognised for their work. Our total bill came to around Β£100 which for 3 week cooked courses and 3 rounds of drinks was more than reasonable, I have spent more in chain restaurants that the service and food were not as near as good!! We will be back for sure

Staff are really friendly and the food is great. Beer garden is excellent in the summer. The location, right by the mill and the river just adds to the quaint vibe. The iconic bridge which is at least 500 years old really adds to the character of Farningham. This pub is amazing for families and we often take our kids who enjoy being outdoors. I highly recommend it.

Lovely location, standard of food poor. My chicken, avocado, cheese sandwich was of a very poor standard - bread was not fresh, chicken portion small, avocado was merely a perfunctory dab of paste on the bread and the cheese tired and uncooked. All for the princely sum of Β£8 which included half a dozen chips. My complaint at the time resulted in the cost being removed from my bill. It would have been so much better for the manager to assure me that standards were not met and that alterations would be forthcoming. The removal of my cost was not sufficient to make me go back again.

Absolutely lovely staff and great service, we had good portions on our plates and the food was delicious. Reasonably priced. The place was constantly cleaned and it has lovely interior. Free parking for visitors. Would recommend.

The pub has changed recently to some extent. It has a pleasant, intimate atmosphere, the menu is different and better (the lunch was really good) with excellent service. My only reservation was that I would have liked more vegetable with the meal. Pudding was self indulgent - great!
