   Excellent Service for Family Wake and Beyond… We would like to express our sincere thanks to Claire and her team at The Good Intent Hornchurch for the exceptional service they provided when arranging our recent family wake. From start to finish, everything was handled with professionalism, care and sensitivity. The service was excellent and the food was very good indeed. The team made what is always a difficult day as comfortable as it could possibly be, and we are truly grateful for that. A special thank you must go to Lexie, who went above and beyond not only during the wake arrangements, but also when we got into a terrible muddle with our Christmas Day bookings. She was so patient and helpful in sorting out the deposits and arranging a specific table request for my family and friends. The Good Intent is fortunate to have such a dedicated and caring team. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them, and we look forward to returning. Thank you again to everyone involved.

   Clean, well decorated and recently refurbished establishment. Toilets seemed to be refurbished recently too. Had a really nice beef rib roast dinner here. Decent quality beef rib for the money, very tender and had a lot of flavour. Vegetables were cooked well, not overcooked and soft. Only complaint really was that the portion of roast potatoes was tiny. Just five small roast potatoes. Perhaps keeping in theme with the WW2 decor and local history as they appeared to be on rations. There is the option to order more potatoes when you order, but I didn’t anticipate the portion being this small. Potatoes are incredibly cheap, and with such a generous beef rib portion on offer it didn’t make sense. I also tried some of the turkey which was good quality and not dry at all. If they served an acceptable portion of potatoes this would’ve been a 5 star review.

   Popped in today for a quick beer, ended up staying for a couple of hours. Really lovely atmosphere, good food and service. Claire the GM, was very friendly and gave us really personal service. Its recently had a refurb which has added to the charm of the Good Intent. Highly recommend

   Myself and my family recently booked for lunch. The pub was busy and we told the food would be about 50 minutes which we were fine with. When it was 1 hour after we ordered I went up to the bar to ask where our lunch was. The owner was lovely and friendly and she asked one of her staff to go to the kitchen and check on our order. The member of staff came out and said it’s ready and she will bring it over to us. When she came over with 2 orders she had a face like thunder and she slammed the plates on the table without saying anything. She then went back to the kitchen and got the other 2 orders and proceeded to slam them on the table again without saying a word. The member of staff was pregnant and she certainly wasn’t glowing. She had real attitude and we all agreed that she is not doing the venue any good with bringing customers back for repeat business. The food was good pub food and the rest of the staff were lovely. It’s a shame 1 person can ruin a nice meal out.

   Service was shocking. Telling us to not use the app because they don't like it. Refused to believe that I ordered a drink that didn't exist, yet was available on the app. The manager she didn't even apologise. So rude from start to end. Won't be returning again and we left after our first round

   Food is always decent here though the current menu seems to have fewer veggie choices. Prices, like everywhere, have increased quite a bit but overall it's still a good value experience and the staff are friendly

   I visited The Good Intent pub today for lunch with a friend, we was greeted at the bar by a very friendly young lady, who told us that we could take a seat where we wanted and to order at the bar. We grabbed some drinks while there and found a nice table at the top of the restaurant. We order our food and it arrived within 20 mins food was hot and tasted amazing. We have decided that we would 100% add this to our list of places to come in future. 5 stars from the both of us.

   This pub serves amazing food! Nice size portions, sizzling hot, good quality and delicious. They have a really varied menu too and good offers throughout the week. I have only been on a weekday lunchtime and the service has always been feel friendly, great and fast.
