    Visited the bike department today, hung around for 10 minutes with other customers and no staff appeared, I went downstairs and asked a member of staff if anyone was available to serve to be rudely told "there isnt anyone available as the staff was on his lunch break, he needs to eat!! " he promptly walked off upstairs where I followed, he wasn't very helpful when he asked what I wanted replying quite rudely to my request.

    Excellent service at the Halfords Hemel Hempstead store. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain my options clearly rather than rushing me. I felt listened to and well advised, and everything was handled efficiently and professionally. A really smooth and positive experience β€” I’ll definitely be returning and would happily recommend this store to others.

    Shop us neat and has a range of helpful resources relevant to all bikes and cars. Cute Christmas ideas for gifts. Slightly low on staff availability and those there (I could only see 3 staff members) were all helping others so it took too long for me to ask for help. Good parking available. Otherwise a good halfords store.

    I came in a few weeks ago to get a couple of things for my car and Tereza was really helpful! She helped me figure out what I should buy and how to use it, she also asked someone else if she was unsure. The staff here are really friendly and helpful, would recommend!

    Excellent! For me, any β€˜Car Talk’ is like discussing A level Physics! MOT advice was to replace wiper blades (and on the same day my car system showed that top up oil was required) I popped into my local Halfords, truthfully I had no idea where to start. One of the staff helped me find the correct, and best value, wiper blades and asked if I needed help fitting them. Which I really did need! I was directed to the payment till. The young woman serving was really helpful too. She arranged a member of staff, a young man named Fin, to fit them. Less than 5 minute wait. Fin also checked the oil to confirm it was required, he showed me that it was, and took me to the rows of oil and helped me find the one required for my car, and the best value. Fin also topped up the oil and gave some good, practical advice for the future. The charge for fitting the wiper blades was just Β£9 and Β£5 for adding the oil top-up. I cannot praise Fin enough. He was friendly, polite, knowledgeable and at no point made me feel silly for not understanding ’car talk’ He is a credit to Halfords, and his family. Well done Fin and Thank you again!

    Busy today (3/4/23). Understaffed and a backlog of people waiting to be served in the bike area. I can only speak about the lady today that served me as she was 4 stars better than the gentleman that served me on the Saturday. She was very knowledgeable and managed the staff well. She was able to deal with impatient and difficult customers with ease whilst maintaining her professionalism. I would only deal with her.

    The young woman who was at the front desk was more interested in the social chit-chat she was having over the headset than in attending to me. She was clearly not pleased with me requesting directions to the right products. When I came back to the front desk with some brake pads for my bicycle, the price the machine charged was not correct in comparison with the one that was displayed. I swapped the product for a different one and the price was still not correct. I queried about how could I make sure that I knew what was the price to what I was buying so I did not have to keep coming backs and forth, and she started rolling her eyes and being dismissive. In response to this attitude, I asked her if I had done something wrong to which she was unable to articulate any kind of mature answer; she then called an older woman who helped me somehow better. This is appalling client service, not to mention that none of the prices in the bicycle section matched the products I was buying. I have been a client of Halfords in many branches for at least 10 years, and I have recently noticed a very sharp drop in the quality of service. There always used to be knowledgeable people who could orient you to the right products, give you advice and be friendly. What has happened?

    Immediately able to change headlights. No queuing, it was a weekday. Also did Winter Checks for free under the membership scheme. Issued detailed list of completed checks. No hidden extras. Very pleased with the service by both mechanics.

    They're really good! Got my bike fixed up and they were very transparent about what they were doing and didn't try oversell me. They told me about work that they thought might need to be done but in the end wasn't as bad as they thought so I ended up getting charged less! Very honest and reliable guys fixing the bikes there! 100% recommend if your bike's been sat in the garage for years and you want to ride it again
