The staff were lovely but the room was shabby with peeling paint on the carpet, stained curtains, holes in the bathroom door plus the bathroom bin hadn't been emptied. The TV rwmote didn't work properly so we could only watch random channels at an inadequate volume & there were minimal plug sockets. The noise from a nearby bar was horrendous, until gone 1am on a Monday night. The communal areas smelt unclean when we arrived but better the following day. The marble step upto the hotel looked dangerous; there was a chunk missing which made the steps awkward to use, especially as it was raining.

Decent value for money hotel in the centre of Doncaster Can be noisy depending on what room you are given, front of house staff helpful Our room was rather smelly when we checked in and discovered the remains of somebody's kebab takeaway under our dressing table! Not sure how that was missed? otherwise the room was OK and the bathroom was pretty new and the bed was comfortable

Disappointed with the service at this hotel. We had to wait an hour past the check in time as our room was not ready. When we finally got into our room it smelt of sewage and we had one pack of biscuits on the tray half eaten from the previous guests. After speaking to reception they did have house keeping re-visit our room and resolve the issues raised. Staying for 2 nights I left the sign on the door the next morning to have room cleaned but no one bothered. Nothing was replenished so no coffee for the morning, no clean towels and no top up of toilet rolls. Very poor service for what is classed as a 3 star hotel. Location is perfect for the city centre but can be noisy of an evening from all the surrounding clubs and bars.

Spent a night here. It was a very nice room. I did request a 4 poster, but they were unable to get me one, so book early to avoid disappointment. I did have an issue with the no hot water in the room and they quickly changed the room. I recommend the suite. Lots of room.

Extremely disappointed. Should be a zero as the staff do not care! It was £40 extra to have evening meal. Only to be told its only a main meal and complimentary soft drink. But the very minimal menu had starter, main meal and desert options. Which previously when stayed we were able to have all 3!! Main meal price (which we had pizza) was £13.95 each and had bloody tin foil underneath which got stuck on my teeth. I did asked to speak to the management all we got told was "i just work here"and walked off.GO ELSE WHERE - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!! And i would still like to speak to the manager so i can officially complain!!! Do they read the reviews??

Just had our wedding breakfast and evening reception at the hotel..wedding breakfast excellent. everyone had positive comments about staff and venue and food. Andrea and everyone involved fantastic. The chef was a lovely guy too. Would have given 5 stars but DJ let the night down, most commented it was boring, old type music ,we asked for up to date music has we had lots of young guests so not a lot got up to dance even after requests as he never played them.

Lovely place but very dated, new carpets and needs a lick of paint, room nothing special shower could have been cleaner, staff could have been more efficient as drinks we'd had were still on the table an hour later. I will say though, we had a 3 course meal for a murder mystery night and the food and service was impeccable for this, bar service not so good though. All in all not a bad stay, just could have been better hence 3 stars.

Nice clean room. Lovely overhead power shower. Good night's stay. Can hear the nightlife outside but didn't really bother us. Lovely help yourself breakfast. Staff very good. We asked for extra pillows and milk. They bought a jug of milk up to our room to put in the mini fridge. Has a hairdryer. Parking was a 8 mins away to drive but a short 5 mins walk away due to raid works and one way system. You can get parking free if you ask the reception to give you a card. There is a convenience shop right next door and plenty of restaurants on the same road to choose from. A comfortable stay. Would stay again.

We stayed for a wedding reception and got a compact double (£60 a night). The room was serviceable, though when they say compact they aren't kidding. It was a fairly comfortable night's sleep though the mattress was hard, the pillows were a bit on the thin side and the cleanliness wasn't great. Not utterly disgusting but not great. Corners weren't hoovered and there was mould growing behind the mirror. We didn't go for the breakfast as it was £13 a plate and having seen a friends it definitely wasn't worth it. Having said that the food at the wedding lunch was lovely. All around serviceable but nothing special.
