Our 2nd stay here. Reception are very welcoming. Can't fault the room.Paid the £3 extra to choose our room and chose a lakeside view. And woke up to a beautiful pink rainbow. Buy even the car park view isn't so bad, as realistically how much time do you spend looking out for an over night stay. A wonder down by the lake is a must if you have time

Stayed here a few times. Always a positive experience. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and tidy rooms with comfortable beds. Fantastic location and beautiful views of the lake.

Staff were nice and friendly and the location is lovely, overlooking the lake. It's a very quiet location to stay outside of the city centre, and there are plenty of food options in the area and a big Asda. My only quibble was that the bath was tiny so was really uncomfortable to be in, and I'm only 5' 3", so I don't take a lot of room! If I can't fit comfortably , you might as well scrap the bath and call it a big shower. Other than that though, the room is basic but comfortable.

Beautiful location by the lake. If you can get a room with a lake view it is breathtaking. On a negative note, there is no on-site restaurant so breakfast is a no. Hotel offers a breakfast box, but it is not the same. There is a nice pizza place located in the same building and a Subway. For more food option you need to take a 10 mins walk or a short drive.

This is, without doubt, the best inland course in Yorkshire, possibly further, with the improvements underway, due to be completed end of April, will improve it even more, 18 tree lined fairways, greens that would rival the European tour and an interesting layout, with loops of 3, 6, 9 and 12 hole all back to the clubhouse. The clubhouse is a grand mansion built in the 1800’s and stands vey grand in the middle of the course, and currently it boasts one of the best chefs in the area. With members the likes of Danny Willett, 2016 masters champion, why not see what your missing, the green fees are a steal at under £50 a day.

Not a bad hotel, location is OK... Slightly out of town. Everything else satisfactory. Check in was a little slow

Quiet, clean spacious room with views of the lake, staff friendly, reasonably priced, free parking, a short 5/10 min walk to the shopping outlet & Beefeater pub, about 15/20 mins walk to a Brewers Fayre pub, cinema and various other eateries, a lovely walk around the lake, would stay again if the price was right :)

The best Travelodge I have stayed at. The location in front of the lake is excellent. Room was good similar to some of the other Travelodge where we have stayed at. Free parking but you need to register your car at the reception. There is a Subway just below. Lots of places to eat within walking distance from here. Overall very happy with the stay.

Arrived to be welcomed by a friendly, polite gentleman on reception. The room was clean, had everything we required for our 2 night stay. We had the 'to go breakfasts' which were more than enough for my daughter and I and Paige on reception both mornings was friendly and professional. I would recommend this Travelodge for cleanliness, welcome and location
