   We visit Chorley almost every month and love to eat at Hartwood Hall. Our favourite is the filet steak which is always cooked to perfection. All the staff are friendly and helpful. On our latest visit we were served by John and Pippa, always a delightful experience. This is a popular restaurant and yet there is always a parking space and it’s free. You know you can relax and enjoy the gentle atmosphere. In summer there are tables outside, a bit close to the main road for us, so we stay indoors. So are there any problems? Only two as far as I am concerned, they don’t offer blue cheese as a cheese or a sauce and pouring cream is not on the menu either. Despite this we keep coming back for the great food, try the Mac & Cheese as a great side dish, it goes with anything.

   We went as a group of 9 for our annual Christmas family meal. We had pre ordered the food a few days before as that's what we was asked to do. 3 courses for £23.99 was pretty good value for money. On arrival we ordered our drinks and waited for the food to arrive, after around 15 minutes of waiting, 1 of the waitresses came over to us and told us they could not find out pre order, so therefore we had to order everything again and wait even longer than planned as the whole idea of pre ordering is so the food will be with you quicker. Once the food did come out it was absolutely lovely, big portions and without a doubt worth every penny we paid for it. However the service was severely lacking, they missed one of the starters so we had to wait even longer for that, and there was quite a long wait in between courses which didn't help. We also paid a deposit a few days before which had we not checked our bill, they hadn't taken it off, so we then had to wait again for the bill to be amended. As I already said the food we couldn't fault, but the service was shocking. However we was given a 20% off voucher off our next visit.

   Booked tonight for 12 people (family). Only 10 of us due to illness turned up. Was looking forward to a good old Sunday roast. Bought drinks at the bar. Table was ready, some family members already seated. Took 30 mins for someone to even bring us a menu to look at. And 40 minutes for them to take the order. NO sunday roasts available as apparently sold out(so disappointed). Food arrived more or less altogether. One party member had food served cold but was rectified immediately, even knocking the price off the bill. Im not knocking the place as been multiple times and no previous issues. But service needs to be more attentive

   Haven't been for years, very nice decor, great atmosphere, food excellent value and piping hot. We had mainly toasted ciabatta and fries, which were all delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. Deserts were good too. There were plenty of people eating, which is always a good sign

   Great ambience and good food. Staff are friendly and they attend to you really quick. Sometimes it better to book a table before you arrive. Their website has got clear instructions on how to book. Value for money I would say. Drinks are a bit expensive but food is worth if.

   Festive menu - great value for money. Service was a bit hap hazard tonight, due to 2 people not turning in, but staff friendly, polite and working very hard, but overall experience very pleasant. Food very good. Steak cooked to perfection. Will certainly be going back soon. You can also use the AA benefits here as well.

   Great accommodation, clean tidy. Quiet room on the 1st floor. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable regarding the area. I had a 2 night stay. Fresh clean bedding and towels, room service topped up tea, coffee and milk daily, tidy the room, excellent standard. Had a great meal of chicken skewers with a pint. Very nice.

   First time visiting here today and we were not disappointed! Food was cooked to perfection, service swift and staff friendly and efficient. A comfy, spotlessly clean environment with a great vibe! Easy parking with a wheelchair friendly entrance. Christmas decor looked amazing too! This place is a testament to a great team! Don't hesitate to visit here. There is a good range of food and drink on the menu at very reasonable prices! We will be back for sure! Open 8.00 a.m to 23.00 weekends and 7.00 a.m. to 23.00 weekdays.
