Just ordered two pizzas for delivery and they were the best we've ever had. Will definitely order again

Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant staff! We had the wings and ribs for starters and they tasted amazing. We then had the meat feast pizza and the prawn linguine which was awesome. Staff very friendly and attentive to our needs. Thanks, will definitely be coming again!

*Firstly I will state that this used to be my favourite restaurant in Darwen. Not any more. *Where do I start about the service last night? *We were a chance walk-in at 17.30. Given a table for two at the top of the stairs. Asked if we could have a window table. Yeah if you want. *I informed them that the rain was coming through the skylights on to the adjoining tables. They obviously hadn't noticed. *Drinks order. I asked if the Morreti was draught. Yes it is. Clearly not when it arrived. A small bottle poured into a large glass. Please take it back and I'll have a Peroni as well as my daughter. That was delivered eventually with a four inch head! Please fill it up. They did, but again, it took ages. *Food order. We ordered the three Tapas on a board. One for each of us with some loaded fries. My daughter asked her to repeat back the order. Just as well or we would have been delivered a total of 14 dishes instead of the 8 we had ordered! *The food was plentiful, very well presented, hot and scrummy. Ribs and wings so a finger bowl would have been welcomed with open arms but we just knew it would be too much to ask for. *"Could we please get another pint of Perroni and a glass of red wine please"? "Yes, can I clear these glasses"? "Er, no as they are not empty yet" A pint and a white wine were delivered! "Oh, well I will just leave it there and take it off your bill"? Helen tried it. It was warm and awful. *About 30 minutes later some guy (presumably the 'maitre'd' as he was the oldest of the three members of staff, but in jeans!) asked what was wrong with it as another table are complaining about it and he took it away. *We were full so declined dessert and coffee but did witness each of the five specialty coffees being served to a nearby table being spilt into their saucers. * The music was far too loud and inappropriate for a restaurant. Meatloaf and The Who? *The two very young waiting staff were trying their best but clearly have not be trained in the basic skills of this industry. Such as knowing the menu products available, repeating back the order, checking back, clearing skills, the use of a tray, glass handling. *We asked for two more drinks and the bill while we waited for our taxi. *No farewell or thank you as we left. If the service was there it might have been worth the £86. For a chance Tuesday teatime, it wasn't. My previous review We love this place. Strangly very quiet even for 6.00pm on a Monday night. Only one table in when we arrived and only one when we left at 8.00pm. Two tables in two hours. Unusual? Food was, as always, delicious. Could not fault it. The service however lacked it's usual attentiveness. Two young members of staff not as interested, as opposed to, we think her name is Katrina, who usually works solo.

Had a few lockdown takeouts from here over summer so was brilliant to get to eat in house tonight. Great service and lovely food. Good selection of tantalizingly priced cocktails too. Espresso martinis that were almost as good as my own. Book early. This place is a gem.

They sent the wrong sauce and when i called up she said I'd have to wait 30 mins for a tub but by then my food was cold. The burger was soggy with pesto and raw she said the burgers are always raw stale chips hardly any red salt warm cans

A great first visit! The atmosphere was lovely inside and even though the restaurant is in the town centre, there was parking available right outside for free which was convenient. The service was good, the waitresses were friendly and attended to us well. The food was tasty, the mushroom starter was to die for! Overall a great place and wouldn’t mind returning.
