    I took my car to Barclays Autos due to a brake fault. Firstly, I told them the caliper was seized but they insisted on doing Diagnostic which took 5 mins and they charged me £78 for 5 mins of work..( £920 per hour ) I only live 10 mins from this garage , they phoned me to say it was the ABS Motor before I arrived home. ( Hence how I know that only spent 5 mins on the car ) Barclays quoted me £960 to replace the abs motor and advised it would take 10 days to fix !! I questioned if a spare part can be used and was told the cost to program the part would cost the same as a new part .. Absolutely False information. There is no programming involved, with changing ABS motor. The following day I took the car to a brake specialist and it cost me £100 to fix the seized caliper, and that price included new brake pads , the car passed its MOT right away. Plus the work was done in a hour, not 10 days. Absolute scamming rip off to charge £78 for a 5 min check of a car and incorrectly diagnose. Then trying to charge a further £960 for a job that was incorrectly diagnosed . Because I went elsewhere the job only cost me £ 100 . That's £860.00 saving. For peace of mind I had the abs motor checked , absolutely nothing wrong with it. Prime example of garage taking advantage of people, scamming money by misdiagnosing problems . Please get 3 quotes , don't be fooled by garages like this . Disgusting scammers!! Those of you that promote this sort of behaviour, you have more money than sense. I've reported them to trading standards

    A very honest and experienced business. My Audi had issues with sensors and upon instructing them to check, they were honest to say the sensors were unplugged upon opening the front bumper. They could easily have made it out there was a fault and charged me a arm and leg. Turned out Audi made the error with some previous work

    I would recommend this garage as I took my car (Vauxhall Adam) here twice in the last 2 months. I first had an issue with my clutch. This was fixed and I was kept updated throughout the process as it was an expensive job. Weeks after, I noticed my brakes making a loud noise when I drove. Barclays Autos kept my car overnight so it could be test as they could not hear the noise initially. Once the noise was detected, the brakes were fixed promptly at a reasonable price. I purchased my car from Vauxhall on the same road, but I much prefer taking my car to Barclays Autos as Vauxhall is a rip off with poor communication. As a woman I dont feel that Barclays Autos are trying to rip me off and they include complimentary car wash! Thank you Danny.

    My mum car broke down late yesterday and car was taken to Barclays auto after 9pm last night by as and was parked up for the car to be looked at first thing. Company spoke to my brother at 8.30am about the car and looked over the car straight away and found the problem and said it could be fixed asap. By 11am my brother received a call to say the car had been fixed and was ready to collect. My mum and her our family are so grateful as my mum is disabled and need her car to get to and back from hospital appointments so it is a must. The fact the car was fixed within a few hours was fantastic and we are so greatful. Company is fast, reliable and very professional, staff are all so friendly and my mum even booked to get her mot done with them next month as she’s so impressed. Highly recommend this company to anyone.

    My mother in laws Car broke down yesterday and was taken to Barclays auto late on in the evening. Car was dealt with on opening hours and was fixed and ready for collection within 3 hours. My mother in law was so great full and could not have been happier with the fast, quick and friendly service. A+++ service and would highly recommend to everyone.
