I signed my partner up for this practice a couple of weeks ago and I've got to say, I didn't know it was possible for receptionists to be so friendly and polite! It's a very pleasant change from any previous GP office I've ever delt with.

I am so so very dissatisfied and disappointed with this surgery , I have been at this practice for 23 years plus. The decline in the practice is so bad you actually think it canβt stoop any lower and then unfortunately it does. As a patient that relies on medication I promise I have lost count of the number of times that the surgery has either missed off items, or sent my prescriptions late, so much so that on occasions the pharmacy has had to issue a emergency supply to me. To try and resolve these issues I have asked for the manager of the practice to contact me, and I can honestly say this has been requested up to half a dozen times, and I have never received a call. One of the saddest reviews I have read regarding this place is one of a couple that have left this practice after over 50 years of being patients here, that to me along with my own experience sums up how bad this surgery has become. I have unfortunately been left this no other option but to contact CQC for a second time, I have have had to loose 3 days of my holiday as my medication, that I requested a WHOLE week ago was not done. I phoned the surgery and it took 15 minutes for the call to be answered only to be informed that the doctor has not signed the prescription I requested a week ago. Along with these issues I had to send the doctor my blood pressure results that they had requested, I went to the pharmacy and after he had expressed concerns about my readings I was asked to wear a heart monitor for 24hours. The pharmacist contacted my doctor with the results and the concerns within the readings and I have heard nothing back from the doctors. When speaking with one of the receptionists about medication issues and I questioned why no one had contacted me regarding the concerns about these results , I was told she would look into it and as of nearly 6 weeks ago I have still not received any information. I also have tried to get appointments to see a doctor only to be told itβs same day bookings only, I question how a person like myself that works, has an opportunity to book a same day appointment. Unfortunately under new management this place has in my eyes not improved, it has been impossible to logged any concerns with the manager, as like I have stated he has not phoned me. The surgery even sent me a text message to say I had an face to face appointment booked that was taken place on the 11/07 and this was sent to me on 29/07. I absolutely value our NHS a services and it pains be that I am not the only one having major issues with this GO practice. An update on my review, I received a text message from the surgery saying I had a telephone consultation, which I did not make. I was under the impression that it was a medication review, instead Dr Mahmood went on to tell me βhow disappointed he was that I had contacted CQC. Not content with this call he phone me a second time where he stated during a medical appointment regarding my health β that the surgery had been cleared by CQCβ, in my opinion this was done in a βbraggingβ manner. He said this was due to my medication being a controlled drug. So as proof I have attached a photo from the pharmacy where my medication was cancelled, without any reason given, which was denied by dr Mahmood. During the second phone call he stated to me that the practice would be having a meeting in regards to removing me from the surgery. I have received a correspondent saying I will be removed in 8 days. So summing it up I undoubtedly have been forced out for making a valid concern to CQC. I will oblige the surgery by leaving, as not only has dr Mahmood said to me to change surgery but one of the receptionist has done so aswell. All in all the surgery is not putting patient care first, so much so dr Mahmood has even made reference to my review. I believe that truth always prevails. In regards to meditation being not prescribed which the doctor denied by Dr Mahood, see below . He boasted that the surgery was cleared by cqc due to the medication being a controlled drug. Well the pharmacy has all the evidence:

Saw a PA in July, told I would be referred in 2 weeks, 2 blood tests each taking 2 weeks to book. Finally in September I was referred. September 29th still waiting. Haven't had a face to face appointment with a GP since 2009. Medical care by text I have been with practise 71 years, never known it so impersonal. Update me turned up for referral and it had been cancelled, new appointment November 6. By telephone, useless.

I have been with doctors for two years and since it has been under new management it has been fantastic. The girl at the desk is very inviting very helpful with trying her best to get you appointments and the doctors are excellent. They don't seem to rush and they are very thorough. Communication is great too

So disappointed in this surgery, since covid the doctor just doesn't want to see anyone, everything seems to be passed onto the nurse there, my daughter was in agony with severe tonsillitis, couldn't eat drink or even swallow, extremely high fever, rang doctors bang on 8am took till 9.15 to get through, only to be told the only appointments they had where a phone call between 3pm and 6pm, no wonder there reviews are so awful, in the end my wife and my daughter had to walk to russells hall hospital and even they said how bad it was, and thankfully gave her the antibiotics she needed, the doctor at the hospital said they are really busy with people who needed to see there own doctor but can't get appointments so end up at the hospital instead, what a sad state of affairs this country is in

Phoned up in regards to my 90 year old grandad who has had previous TIAβs who has a fear of hospitals due to it. Heβs been experiencing numbness in his left arm. I was 17 minuites late due to working at the hospital. to be told I was 17 minuites late and appointments have all gone by then. They canβt fit him in for a emergency appointment which to me that would be classified as a emergency appointment. Felt the surgery was unhelpful. To be told he would have to go to the hospital walk in even tho I told them Iβve had trouble even getting him to be seen at the doctors. This has resulted in my grandad refusing to go completely now. Whereβs the duty of care. Hereβs been here for so many years and was never a problem with dr brettle they would always look after my grandad and find even 5 minuites to just see him. Place needs reporting to a health ombudsman. Esp with all these reviews. Will certainly be looking into this
