Don’t get me wrong the woman was friendly enough but I feel I’ll be A&E before I get any further support from these services. Just got given a number for Sandwell talking therapy just because I told them I hadn’t self harmed or attempted suicide for a few years. I also explained that I’m getting chest pains.

Lack of sympathy and privacy If I could give this no stars I would! I had a terrible experience from the minute I walked in. I arrived at 11:20 and signed in at the front desk. After seeing the receptionist who had to ask me who I was seeing and said loudly enough "the crisis team" and my full name whilst others were in the waiting room I took a seat. Personally, I feel that is a breach of my personal data as it didn't feel necessary to say out my full name, to my embarrassment. She then confirmed with another member of staff out loud again my full name and the reason for my attendance and they didn't seem to have me written down at all on there their piece of paper. My appointment was at 11:30. The receptionist looked over at me and said it shouldn't be much longer, which I appreciated, I let her know that I would wait until 12:10 and then leave as my dad was in the car. I was called in at 12:05, I'm already anxious at this point, having being kept waiting. I am greeted by a man who apologised for the wait and I take a seat by the doctor, whos opening statement was "tell then what's going on" I freeze, tell them I don't want to do this and walk out in floods of tears. An introduction would've been nice or they could've paraphrased some of my background in an introduction, save me repeating myself. Ideally they should've confirmed who I was via my details before even finding out what's going on. Here's where the bad service continues. My mom phones to find out what happened she speaks to a rude man who said the meeting never happened (a blatant lie) and they were only 15min late for my appointment (another lie). I walked into that room on the ground floor, to the left and sat in the same room as them so how can he say I wasn't there. Then he told me mom they had an emergency before me. When my mom explained I was an emergency and could've committed suicide he replied non sympathetically "oh yeh, she could". Another member of the team is aware of my experience and has re arranged another appointment there to see another doctor and I have asked for the complaints procedure and policy. Failing that then I shall be contacting the CQC and making a complaint that way.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! They don't listen to anything you say they are extremely rude and shout at you and all they do is repeat what you say, I told them my depression is turning into anger and they said that is impossible because they are two different feelings which made me depressed therefore making me angry and walked out on me asking me to leave while I was crying my eyes out and said I am too emotionally unstable rather than offering support. I'm not racist but most of them aren't English and can't even understand what you're saying and and shout at you at your own homes making you feel worse than you did before. I genuinely don't think they're qualified mental health doctors there.

In a check up phone call I had today, I was explaining my anxiety triggers to the operator (having to sit down for long periods of time in formal settings and confined spaces) I was told I will have to find ways to just AVOID sitting down for long periods of time and being in confined spaces. I then questioned the operator that I am a university student so it is necessary on a daily basis for me to sit down for long periods of time in formal settings and be in confined spaces? and will be in pretty much whichever career path i go down? Anyone with any basic knowledge of anxiety will know that further avoidance behaviour around the phobia will only strengthen the phobia? I understand it is not necessary for workers conducting quick check up calls to have degrees or significant education in their field, but a bit of basic knowledge is necessary. I actually couldnt believe she said that multiple times.

This place is a joke given someone else depot sent to have bloods at sandwell returned expecting to be given my next depot and was left waiting 45 minutes in waiting room to be told I couldn't have my depot because bloods not returned. This should not happen it seems my mental health not of importance

Absolutely awful!!! I saw psychiatrist who put me on Prozac he saw me twice then discharged me and wouldn’t see me again.. I was so ill and all I had was a phone number to talk to someone from the Well being (pointless) 8 wks of absolute hell with no help, disgusting!! then saw another psychiatrist at Hallam Hospital who told me the meds wasn’t working had to change them she diagnosed me with Complex PTSD, Clinical Depression, Anxiety and Panic Disorder..I am still waiting for talking therapy! So I would say avoid they are useless

The mental health care in this area is absolutely appalling. Useless team, don't know how to handle referrals. Send someone with severe social anxiety to endless groups. People are screaming out for help and you are doing next to nothing to deal with them properly. Absolute joke!
