I tried to use this mechanics for light service and MOT but was told to take my car away in the end. When I first called to book was given the option of bringing my own parts if I wanted to booked in for the service and took a day off for it. When I arrived to drop the car, Rob explained the prices again and said they charge per part used. I left the car with him and 5 minutes later I called to say I would like to get the parts myself as Euro Car Parts is only a ten minutes walk away. Considering times are hard right now financially, I was only looking to help reduce costs on my end, I've given parts over to mechanics many times in the past. Schoffield's even told me on the booking call I can go Euro and get the parts myself. When I called to request what parts are needed, he became stroppy and told me bluntly to "come and get your car, I can't work like this". Rob was an unprofessional, touchy idiot and quite clearly wanted me gone as he lost the chance of a nice markup on parts used. He was even upset that I had been calling around other mechanics before booking with him. According to him that should not be allowed. I recommend not to use this garage. Won't be going near them again.
My husband dropped our car off for an MOT today. It was slightly last minute. Due to the good reviews we thought we’d give Scoffield a shot. We are very pleased, it was quick, with a very competitive price, and we’ve got a good handover with some observations. Will come here again! :)

The most honest mechanic in London. I have used them over a few years as did my mate. We were both impressed by how much they try to save the customer's money. Highly recommended.
Rude and incompetent at running a business. Charged me much higher than the quoted price and when questioned was very rudely told it's not their problem. Needed a full service and MOT, and chose based on competitive quoted price. Ended up paying more than all the other quotes I had received, including Halfords, Kwik-Fit and F1. Owner even put the phone down on me when giving him feedback. Would definitely not recommend and would caution others.
