If I could give no stars I would. My 1 year old daughter had conjunctivitis. They refused to see her for a week. Each time a request was sent it would be ignored or sent to opticians. After a week and a whole day of calling. Without seeing her they prescribed eye drops. Absolutely appealing surgery. I have moved surgeries straight after. I work with doctors out in the Community who advised my daughter should of been seen due to her age as soon as possible.

My brother is a patient of Lion Health and we attended the Practice together Thursday 13.11.25. The overall service from Lion has been falling short of satisfactory for a long time. However in our visit we experienced exceptionally good service and support from Dawn in Reception. Her knowledge of their system enabled us to answer a number of issues. We were not the easiest of clients that day but her patience was endless. We are still concerned about Lion Health but top marks to Dawn!

Since they introduced Anima, the quality of the service is appalling. I needed a sick note by Thursday. Despite two requests, it has still not arrived I recently had a 'mallet finger injury'. I found a splint online and requested an appointment with a physio. After a month, I got an appointment. She spent 20 minutes online trying to find how I found the splint, then told me that if it didn't improve in six weeks then to go to A+E !!!! Got no treatment off the physio at all - complete waste of time Thinking of moving doctors - my wife already has. Ironically, we both work for the NHS

Dealt with Lion for family. I moved years sgo. Always have to hold on phone line. Lost consultant letter. Closed a request for change of tablets without action. Made an appointment ten days later following an urgent request for an appointment and wouldnt change it despite requests and emergency ambulance attendance. Worst surgery ever. Thank heavens I know from my own gp surgery that there are efficient effective gp surgeries out there. I'd advise anyone to change.

Lion health is worse than ever at the moment. Getting an appointment for urgent issues at lion health often makes me feel dismissed as communication from the staff is rude and patronising. When I did manage to get an appointment for a later date, the doctor talked over me and ended the call before I had chance to talk for myself. The whole process felt incredibly insensitive.

If I have a heart attack now my family have copies of the message saying that a doctor would call me on 16th Feb between 6.30 and 7.40pm. My call log proves that nobody has called me! The doctor was supposed to be reviewing my medications and sorting out my blood pressure which is currently 185 over 109! I also need an inhaler. No appointments online EVER unless you want a smear, and phoning - you will be 86th in the queue, then get to a person who says no appointments call back at 12 - it just repeats! If you go in person and queue they tell you that you can only book an appointment over the phone or online! Absolutely disgusting! There are patients going to A&E and the walk in centre in DUdley because they can't get a GP appointment at Lion Health!

Terrible surgery, has been progressively getting worse. Hold times on phones are rarely less then 30 mins. It is extremely difficult to get an appointment. The receptions staff are not knowledgably and rude. However if by some mircale you do manage to see a dr they are generally really good.

I always booked my appointment online using patient access. I have to keep checking to see if any appointments came available. But that’s better than waiting in a long queue on the phone. All the doctors I have been seen by at the surgery have been caring, compassionate and extremely helpful. I am never rushed during an appointment and always feel as if they have listened. In particular I’d like to give praise to Dr Wilcox and Dr Wooley. They are brilliant and I can’t thank them enough for there support and advice over the years. If you manage to get an appointment with these doctors then you’re in good hands.

My niece has not been in Preston for 3 years yet her prescription for her mental health continues to be sent there despite the several times she’s reminded them of change of details . This happens every time she is due them. I’m not doctor but I do know you are not meant to stop taking your mental health medications . She was due them last week and put the prescription in they got sent to Preston again . She was told yesterday definitely be corrected and ready for collection today and they have no prescription. This is absolutely disgusting and someone above needs to start sorting this place out . You have left her to deteriorate in her mental health because of your negligence, lack of communication . By far lion health has a horrendous reputation . Yet when it was a smaller practice at Worcester street it worked well. I will say the lady on reception was lovely to her and comforted her.

I’ve just called to extend my sick note while I go through cancer treatment was told I can’t request an extension until it runs out? Which is Friday this week. It took me nearly and hour to get through on the phone. Receptionist finally agreed to do it for me “this time” like she’s doing me a favour. She stated you can do it on line so I asked for more detail, she barely gave me instructions and hurried to put the phone down. I had not even had chance to ask for my son’s results on his X-ray. I was on the phone with her all of a minute if that. I know they are under pressure but as all the appointments had gone as it was after 9 so had been filled, I don’t see why they have to dismiss you so quickly. I’m calling for a reason not to chit chat. So I’ve gone on line and managed to find the section to ask for an extension it asks for dates I can’t remember nor have a record of to hand so I’ve filled it in best I can. As I don’t have much confidence the receptionist will do the job as it was “a favour” she seemed more interested in putting the phone down. Rude. I’d give no stars if I could big fat 0 from me.
