“Best vets around I moved to blacks vets from another practice after being badly treated. I had been going to the previous practice for nearly TWO YEARS!!! and I was still no further forward with what was wrong with my dog Billy. After only two visits to blacks he was diagnosed with a rare life limiting illness sadly. I was devastated. From that moment on even with the insurance everything was dealt with amazingly. The staff are lovely, kind and understanding. The vet who I saw was so brilliant. He treated my Billy like his own. All insurance was paid out with no problems. To the point I used up my whole policy. Which due to the fact he had so much work done. They did everything they could to keep him going. At the end when the time came to say goodbye they treated us like royalty. Made us feel so special. It was such a peaceful passing. I was devastated. “Young lad at the counter new exactly what I needed to treat my allergic reaction to some hair dye, when he asked me if I was on any other medications he knew all about the effects of the tablets I was prescribed and explained to me the effects of the medication to treat my reaction. He was very sweet and quick to figure out which prescription was best suited to my situation ( other medications I am taking). Took me a while to find an independent vets rather than one of the big chains who I am not convinced have pets at the centre of their decision making. Powis seem very different and really seemed to care about my dog giving a thorough exam, some good advice on her weight and teeth. The receptionist who help me get on their own version of the pet plan thing my for the monthly treatments and yearly inoculations were really great go me sorted in no time. Really lovely vets.”
