Waiting for appointment time 30 minutes after initial appointment time. Phoned local branch no appointments i asked for dudley main vets no appointments went online booked 09.45 didnt get out the vets until 10.45. Especially if you have a barking dog that doesn't like the vets. So stood outside to keep the practice quiet. As for the price of medication I dont understand how they can charge £5.47 for 1 onsior and £3.74 for rilexine that's why I pay for a prescription even though you have to pay £25 for 1st prescription then £19 for any other medications. So I needed 15x5.47=£82.05 then 40x3.74=£149.60 plus what i spent on the day £119.83 that was without consultation fee as I used my healthy pet scheme voucher. So yes prescription is the way forward. The vet said I couldn't get the antibiotics on prescription until I looked at my previous orders online. And showed him ive managed to get the tablets needed for £50.05. Surely there should be a regulator on prescribed drugs. Otherwise im happy with the vet i saw yesterday he was kind and listened and did try to help. I wonder if this is why there's such a high turn over with staff. Because of the corporations making profit over our ill pets. Always check if you can get medication online cheaper. I learnt the hard way with that. Otherwise the staff do care when they see your pets. They do try but things like sending a prescription takes 1 day to receive by email after your appointment even you buy a few tablets to keep you going until you get yours online and delivered. Just seems to have gone down hill since my dogs were puppies.

Best vets around I moved to blacks vets from another practice after being badly treated. I had been going to the previous practice for nearly TWO YEARS!!! and I was still no further forward with what was wrong with my dog Billy. After only two visits to blacks he was diagnosed with a rare life limiting illness sadly. I was devastated. From that moment on even with the insurance everything was dealt with amazingly. The staff are lovely, kind and understanding. The vet who I saw was so brilliant. He treated my Billy like his own. All insurance was paid out with no problems. To the point I used up my whole policy. Which due to the fact he had so much work done. They did everything they could to keep him going. At the end when the time came to say goodbye they treated us like royalty. Made us feel so special. It was such a peaceful passing. I was devastated. They even took a fur clipping and put it in a bottle for me and a paw print for me to кеер. If you want a good, caring, genuine vets look no further

It was our first trip to the vets with our cats, for their annual boosters. They're rescues and so very nervous of people in general. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. There's a separate area for cats and dogs, and we were seen after about 10 minutes of waiting. The vet was very good with both cats, very calm and friendly. All went smoothly and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Thank you!

Excellent vets. We have been with the practice for over 30 + years and would not go anywhere else. Our dogs are always rescued often with an unknown or complicated history. In addition, they are nearly always a large breed. Highly recommend the vet named Bart based at the Lye practice. He has been brilliant in the past with my Belguim Shepherd and Alaskan Mal (sadley both passed with old age). Bart is currently caring for our new pack member, Aylaska, another rescued Mal (see photo) Bart is very empathic to the welfare of the dog and breed and the history requirements of the dog. Thank you, Bart.

I'm so angry as i my took my xlbully cross huskie whos 15 months old here for her annual booster today. Thd male vet we used shouldn't be working there , level of care disgusting his scared of big dogs , no greeting or anything towards my dog , no health check , just the injection given . Then what really upset me was my dog was sick and passed out. Managed to get her some fresh air outside and two female vets came out to check on Bailey and to take payment they were lovely. But the male vet didn't bother at all and he was the one who she'd seen for the injection, totally disgusted as Bailey suffers anxiety and him behaving the way he did backing away in room was a joke and not petting her, she was scared and I thought they were trained to care and reassure our dogs . I've put a complaint in and will only come here again to use a female vet . Disgusting service today Judging the breed that male vet shouldn't be working with dogs . Bailey almost 7 stone in weight a big softie , so this has upset me how we've paid for health check and booster today .Got a quick injection and his made my dogs anxiety even even worse. This place really needs to make sure who works for them can do a vet roll correctly.

My dog recently had an admission to the hospital in dudley. The level or care from all staff was impeccable. He was there for a number of days which becomes very stressful however the information relayed to me by the staff and vets went beyond normal levels of expectation. I highly recommend this vets!
