Felt really confident that they would be looked after when we were out for the day. Got updates and photos during the day which was lovely. “Best vets around I moved to blacks vets from another practice after being badly treated. I had been going to the previous practice for nearly TWO YEARS!!! and I was still no further forward with what was wrong with my dog Billy. After only two visits to blacks he was diagnosed with a rare life limiting illness sadly. I was devastated. From that moment on even with the insurance everything was dealt with amazingly. The staff are lovely, kind and understanding. The vet who I saw was so brilliant. He treated my Billy like his own. All insurance was paid out with no problems. To the point I used up my whole policy. Which due to the fact he had so much work done. They did everything they could to keep him going. At the end when the time came to say goodbye they treated us like royalty. Made us feel so special. It was such a peaceful passing. I was devastated. They even took a fur clipping and put it in a bottle for me and a paw print for me to кеер. If you want a good, caring, genuine vets look no further”

“I have literally just today filled my loyalty card and received my free blocks of raw.. it’s nice to feel as a customer your custom is valued the loyalty card confirms this. But I could write over 20 positive reviews about this company.. Iv been going to this shop for months and months now and all throughout lockdown after deciding to find a more local supplier and supporting a local business. The service they offer is second to none, from the range of raw food they have to, to the next day delivery (which is really reliable and quick), I have forgot to order before and last minute contacted the guys and they have sorted my meat out for me, they offer payment options card or cash which is always handy. Cannot recommend these guys enough, they are so helpful and welcoming honestly never disappoint.”

“We stayed here for one night as we were visiting the West Midlands Safari Park, which was only about a 25-minute drive away. The lady at reception, who was also helping out at the restaurant bar, was so sweet, approachable, and looked after us really well. She was very informative and welcoming. They had a great deal for £26.99 which included a two-course meal, a drink, and breakfast – perfect for us. The place was clean and tidy, and the room was good too. Overall, we had a comfortable stay and would definitely recommend it.”

Took me a while to find an independent vets rather than one of the big chains who I am not convinced have pets at the centre of their decision making. Powis seem very different and really seemed to care about my dog giving a thorough exam, some good advice on her weight and teeth. The receptionist who help me get on their own version of the pet plan thing my for the monthly treatments and yearly inoculations were really great go me sorted in no time. Really lovely vets.”

“Our elderly cat was a patient of AK Duncan for 18 months after we adopted her. She suffered from both thyroid issues and kidney failiure which meant she required regular vet visits and blood tests. Hannah was our primary vet and although our cat was an angry and difficult patient at times, she was always treated with gentle care and patience. Hannah did everything she could to provide options and care to prolong her life, comfortably and informed us of all options. Sadly we had to say goodbye to her a few weeks ago and again, although incredibly painful, Hannah went above and beyond to make it as comfortable and as dignified as possible. It was clear that she was invested in our family and our situation which was a huge comfort.”

“We've used the cattery for over 5 years and couldn't be happier with the service we get from Julie and team. Our cats always come home healthy and happy and it is obvious the cat pens are cleaned regularly and are very spacious. Make sure you book school holidays long in advance as she will often be full 6 months on advance! We will be using the cattery for many years to come.”
