Young lad at the counter new exactly what I needed to treat my allergic reaction to some hair dye, when he asked me if I was on any other medications he knew all about the effects of the tablets I was prescribed and explained to me the effects of the medication to treat my reaction. He was very sweet and quick to figure out which prescription was best suited to my situation ( other medications I am taking). Also, the staff in general were very efficient and the pharmacy was clean and organised.

Was shut 12-13 which was not advised in either Google or the boots website. I also had spoken to them on the phone 30 mins prior and even then they didn’t advise me on the closing. Made a special journey that I will have to repeat. Staff still in the store ignored me when trying the door. People are entitled to a lunch break but at least give the correct information.

They have still not altered Google on their business site that it is closed between 12.00pm and 1.00pm despite this being highlighted over a year ago. Also they close the shop when there is a missing Pharmacist in another shop deemed more important or is it profitable!

I together with another customer were waiting to be served at the till under the please pay here sign, while an assistant I now know to be Joe served another customer at the same till. Once he completed the sale and the customer walked away, I moved to the counter put my items down as the assistant turned and walked away without saying anything, after a few minute wait it because obvious the assistant wasn’t going to return, so I together with the other customer joined the Prescription queue. On reaching the front of the queue I complained to the Wendy the lady who served, who explained that assistant who had walked off was the Pharmacist and he was very busy, I am sorry but that doesn’t forgive him for being exceptionally rude and points ignorant of good service and communication skills. When I asked for his name Wendy was evasive, but reluctantly gave me his name as Joe. This situation could have been easily avoided if Joe had explained that he was the pharmacist and had been helping a customer and that we should have joined the prescription queue, instead he chose to turn his back walked off without saying a word.

Dealing with this pharmacy is so frustrating. The phone is never answered so you’re left with no choice but to visit and play a game of ‘lunch break roulette’. Will they be open? Will they not? It’s like going back to the 1970’s…

The store has decided to alter their opening hours, closing for lunch between 12 and 1pm. No issue with staff having a lunch break however both the Google search and the Boots website does not show this. Popped in today at 12:02 to get my order and the lady simply pointed at the paper sign and walked away from the door. The poor old boy who had made his way to the pharmacy in this heat who got there just before me was also turned away. The pharmacy should be ashamed. The old chap had to sit and wait for the pharmacy to reopen, in the heat. I had a wasted trip and fuel as we all know is not cheap these days either. Its a simple fix to alter your opening times online.

Not really impressed with the local boots pharmacy, dont sell much choice of shampoo that I usually buy. Not impressed because I was told I had to pay for my prescriptions, that would cost £55 pound a year. Too expensive for goods that I regularly buy

Very questionable to be honest because it is full of lovely people who want to provide great service but yet my repeat prescription seems to always be late and don’t even get me started on the telephone line……. Doesn’t anyone ever answer it or is it just there because they have to have one. Sick of having to go in to order my prescription I should be able to just call up and ask but no, it’s complicated for no reason

Prescription never ever ready even if you call ahead to make them aware you are collecting. Slow slow dispensing service. 20 minutes for an item is unacceptable. Nowhere else takes this long. Why do they still close every lunch time? Every pharmacy did this in the thick of the pandemic but they don’t anymore. It’s not like they are a busy branch. I also witnessed quite recently (while wasting another 30 minutes of my life waiting for my prescription) a lady return some items to the shop that she claimed she had not even ordered and when she left the member of staff removed the labels and put the items back into stock!! I KNOW that this is not allowed and if it has left the premises it should be Dooped…. Is this generally Boots practice???? I think not… the pharmacy superintendent would be horrified. Don’t bother using this slow disorganised branch.
