You advertise as lesbian bar … and we came on Friday at the entrance your staff said there is only entry for gay man because there is some venue . I found it very disrespectful knowing you are only one lesbian bar in Manchester. Shame !! Friday night !
tried to come in, half the group made it in, the half that made it in got inappropriately grinded on by men, whilst the rest of the group tried to the join then we got told it was a ‘lesbian club’ they never asked for genders even when got told there was gay men inside, think they let in off of look as there was many out side facing the same issue and was told they ‘would be let inside’
A man came into the bathroom and threatened to beat me up with all his friends. Guess he couldn’t handle me one-on-one I’ve heard all the stories, idk why expected tonight to be different, but the stories are all true. Vanilla is for anyone but women
We tried to enter however as we had 2 girls and 1 boy they declined entry as they closed entry before 2pm. Let multiple girls in the club after 2pm , upon questioning they said the club wouldn’t allot more people in. As a member of the LGBTQ+ community I felt isolated and discriminated against. The bouncers were not welcoming at all and I was made to feel like less than a person. This behaviour is not what I expect of gay village and I will not be attending again. Date of attendence and was Saturday 31st May- 1st June 2025
Bar staff were very rude. Telling my friend to use her manners when they had no manners at all. They shouldn’t be working behind a bar with that attitude. Ruined me and my friend’s night. Also, very clicky, only go in if your face fits. So rude.
Probably the best bar in canal street! Great music and drink selection, speedy service. Staff are extremely friendly and jade's always willing to share her chips n curry
Myself and another trans woman were denied entry because there were enough "men" in this lesbian bar. So many cis men in trackies and never felt so misgendered in my life 0/10. Avoid.
Completely run down venue. Was empty at 10pm on a Saturday night. Awful drinks, small plastic glasses and beer on tap tasted terrible. Do not recommend
The white cis gendered female door security racially profiled a POC trans women refusing entry due to being with a fellow POC man. While having allowed 2 white men to exit moments earlier AND having allowed several men in during the night. This level of racism is vile
The bouncers on the door that look like their named Stacey and Mandy are rude and wouldn't let me in because apparently I had "drank too much" after I had 2 drinks. They were just mad because I said they look like Stacey and Mandy. I think I hurt their feelings and they wanted to demonstrate their big balls and power LOL
