   Dropped my car off for an alternator replacement and was told it may be something else (didn’t tell him I used to be a mobile mechanic so I’d already diagnosed the issue), was then told it doesn’t start (it sure did, visited on a weekend and gave it a jump) and that a fuel relay was needed, which doesn’t even make sense. Was initially given a timeline of a couple days, “parts order was delayed” even though could get it off of Euro Car Parts same day pick up. Long story short, held my car for over a month, unlocked so anyone could access it. I’m surprised it wasn’t nicked or parts weren’t taken. Just gave excuse after excuse, first it was parts, then he had the flu, then something else. Left muddy boot prints all over my interior, car was filthy. Communication was extremely poor. Took it to a specialist, repair was done in 1 day. It was in fact, the alternator. Avoid this place if need an honest mechanic.

   Found this garage through google as I needed a Peugeot specialist and I was so pleased I did. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, the owner Martin explained exactly what was wrong and how they fixed it. All for a very good price. This will be my regular garage now.

   My Peugeot had the dreaded 'Anti Pollution Fault' message come up on my car last night, and at the same time the engine slowed down to a crawl and I barely made it home. Then when I turned off the engine, the fan in the engine stayed on (and very loud) for 15 minutes. I saw MJ Autosmotives specialised in Peugeots from their sign in Bexley, so I emailed them on Sunday night with the problems I was facing. I was quite stressed as needed the car very soon to help with a house move and also a holiday, so the idea of a lengthy time and extra expense that I could do without was not needed! I was really pleased to get an email back within a few hours on the Sunday asking me to call in the morning. Martin spoke to me on the phone, and as I was worried about driving the car any further, he came out to my home within a couple of hours, did the diagnostic, and then asked me to bring to the garage an hour later. I couldn't believe my luck on how quick and efficient this service was. Absolutely miles better than any potter places I have used. Really friendly service from start to finish also. The job was to replace my spark plugs and coils, as they were misfiring. A quick job Martin advised, and he did it whilst I waited at the garage. The error message and fan noise was the car's safety measure to make me aware that a problem needed to be fixed. Not that expensive either for the diagnostic and replacement and work, so overall really happy and can't reccomend enough. Even checked engine oil, coolant and also fix a minor issue with electric window, which I was very grateful for. I will be back again for any issues and the mot and service!

   After being turned away from my usual Garage I found MJ Automotives on the Internet. My car went in today and was dealt with straight away within the hour. I received a very prompt, efficient and professional service. They couldn't do enough for me and took the time to explain everything to me throughly so I understood it. Will definitely be going back and would recommend Martin to carry out all your work.
