Jackie at Travelodge made our check-in experience exceptional! From the moment we arrived, her warm smile and friendly demeanour were incredibly welcoming. She efficiently processed our booking, providing all the necessary information with clarity and a helpful attitude. What stood out most was Jackie's genuine interest in ensuring we had a comfortable stay. She asked if we had visited before and ran through everything we would need to know to ensure we have a good stay. Her professionalism and kindness truly set the tone for a relaxing visit. Thanks to Jackie, our first impression of Travelodge was outstanding. Her excellent customer service skills are a real asset to the hotel.

I've recently stayed at the travelodge on the Tamworth M42 services I was greeted by a lovely guy behind reception who was really polite and helpful rooms are standard but that's all I needed there isn't a restaurant at this one but there is greggs burger King and Costa and also M&S across the car park all in all it was a good stay

I had an awful experience at Travelodge Tamworth and have been shocked by how dismissive the company has been in handling my complaint. I was subjected to discriminatory and unprofessional treatment by a front desk staff member, who refused to give me her name when I asked, wrongly assumed I was recording her because my phone flash went off by accident, and then stereotyped me as “aggressive” simply for questioning her response. Instead of investigating properly, Travelodge’s customer service has blocked me at every turn — refusing to share their complaints process, refusing to escalate to a senior manager, and ultimately taking the employee’s word against mine without addressing any of my concerns. Even after contacting the CEO’s office, my complaint has been brushed aside with no accountability, no transparency, and no compensation for the distress caused. I expected better from a national hotel chain. Sadly, this experience has left me unwilling to book with Travelodge again, and I will be advising others — including colleagues at my workplace — to avoid Travelodge.

The room was just absolutely ridiculously boiling. Appreciate its June but some kind of fan or a window that opened a reasonable amount would have been amazing. It was hot to the point we had to shower at 2:30am to cool down and didnt get much sleep at all. A real shame as the room itself was nice, roomy and clean and the lady on reception gave us the best welcome I’ve probably ever had in a travelodge.

Not bad for a budget hotel, rooms are clean, staff are friendly and helpful and its close to shops. Bad points, carpets need replacing, towels are like sandpaper, you have to pay for wifi and only social media apps seem to work on it, 99% of websites i use were blocked (even youtube) i had to use a vpn. The heater in the room was locked at 22°c which is too hot but you can unplug it. Little issues aside i enjoyed my stay and would stay again in the future.

It's on a service station - handy for fast food, expensive groceries (M&S, though) and a quick getaway. The staff were really pleasant and helpful, the rooms clean and adequate. It's quite small and the doors still use real analogue keys. I didn't notice a lift, but it only seems to have two floors. Town is about three miles away along a fast dual carriageway through a kind of hellscape of out of town retail and light industry. You wouldn't want to walk it, but I imagine a taxi of some kind wouldn't be expensive.

Overnight stop whilst travelling. Can't fault at all. Staff really friendly and helpful. Room clean and tidy. Dog friendly. Even though this was just off M42 motorway it was surprisingly quiet. Lovely dog walking area around Motel

Having been stuck in gridlock at Tamworth services, realising that nothing was moving ( it was like that for over 4 hours), we opted to stay at the Travelodge there. The 1st big plus was the very pleasant receptionist, advising us to book online, as we'd get a better deal, which we did. The 2nd plus was the condition of reception and the room, both were exceptional for cleanliness and space, with an aroma of soap, not the usual disinfectant. The room was great, we didn't expect much, being a services location, but out view was a lawn area and trees, and pretty quiet too. We opted for a "breakfast box", which had brioche, flapjack, cornflakes with UHT milk and orange squash. It was surprisingly nice. All of the staff were friendly and polite and despite being delayed 12hrs, it was not a negative experience.
