Whilst the location is fantastic and it was nice and quiet there during my stay, I base my score on not having hot water in the morning... cold shower in cold weather was horrible. On the evening the water temperature was OK, but it was ice cold in the early morning hours. My shower leaked onto the floor, the sink and toilet area was wet and slippery. I can't give more stars for service purely because I was given a key that didn't work. I carried everything up to the third floor, I couldn't open the door and had to go back to reception to resolve the issue. I carried everything back downstairs with me, then take everything up again. That was quite exhausting and avoidable if the key was programmed correctly at the first place. Breakfasts was lovely, however there was no water provided just hot drinks. Room was average. Starbucks was great. I stayed here because this is where our Christmas party was. The venu is great, I enjoyed the food and party. One of our colleague was left without main and had to wait a good 45 minutes for his food. Everyone finished eating by then.

Stopped in with a friend for a few drinks and a light bite- great atmosphere, especially for watching the football with plenty of big screens around. The staff were lovely and the service was excellent. Big shout- out to Brad and Laney for looking after us and telling us about the new virtual darts! A great visit to the Pub & Grill at the village!

This is a great hotel in a really good and convenient location only a short drive from the airport and NEC. Lovely rooms (really comfy beds!) and wonderful staff. Lucy the receptionist was amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful and tended to our every need. The only negative to point out was the car park which was extremely busy due to an event and what seemed to be a very popular gym.

My friends and I recently stayed at Village Solihull. The staff at check in we're extremely helpful and informative. Before heading out we had a few drinks in the pub. The pub had a great lively atmosphere with a wide range of drinks. Before leaving the hotel we popped into Starbucks where we were served swiftly with our drinks made to perfection. The store also looked amazing, much different from the last time we visited! Each memeber of staff we encountered were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Overall would recommend - especially because the beds are super comfy!

Love the gym and classes here ! Highlights are Gareth Jones boxing classes, absolutely amazing, and such good energy. Also an incredible PT who pushes clients to be the best version of themselves. Reception staff always very welcoming (Kerry, Jay, Charlotte). Changing rooms are always clean and the pool is stunning. Also gym floor staff incredibly friendly and approachable (Beth, Tori, Thomas). Highly recommend :)

Just had a few nights stay at the hotel and we did have a lovely time but given this hotel was a 4 star compared to the majority of Village hotels we stayed in being 3 star and costing less we kind of expected a bit more of a premium room, gym, bar etc but it was very much like for as the others that have been refurbished over the past few years. We did upgrade to a club room and although it had a sealy mattress which was great it was relatively small and had nothing else than what we've experienced in other village hotels. The TV wasn't sky but had sky sports channels but didn't have sky movies, I don't know whether this is the same for all the hotels now as its been a couple years since I've had a club room but I have had sky movies at another location before. The gym and pool area are nice, modern and of good size. The towel situation is a little annoying though as you have to bring towels from your room and ask reception to replace them or rent towels from them for Β£1 / Β£2 each. The bar and restaurant are very uniformed to all village locations and are good if you're with the lads having a drink and want some food but not overly amazing. The triple stack was of good size and quality though and the beer was (Camden Hells) was a 10/10 pint. The breakfast was good no fried or poached eggs and instead of hash browns they had potatoes which reminded me of something you'd find at a Spanish all inclusive, as well as that you've got cereal, bread, pastries, yoghurt. The only fruit I saw was a summer Berries with a yoghurt and a bannan. I enjoyed it. I must say the staff from reception to housekeeping, to the leisure, the the bar are all great. All very friendly, very helpful and a pleasure to be around. They definitely met 4 star expectations for service and I applaud them for that.

I found the place to be excellent, the bed was comfortable, although I could smell cigarettes through the bed sheets because I can’t lay my head on big fluffy pillows, however it’s a really nice room to chill out in, the shower was great, the gym was good, the swimming pool was great and I loved the steam room, parking was free. Not to mention I was able to watch the football on a big screen downstairs with a Starbucks coffee in hand(World Cup 3rd place was on). Their was even some live singing in the bar and he was very good, shout out to him every rendition he did he smashed.

Stayed here on a work trip and if I'm brutally honest I wasn't that happy. Service on check in was fine as was the bar staff. Food was average and arrived suspiciously quick, katsu curry was tasteless however the loaded fries were really good and without them I'd have been really disappointed. Room was fairly average but a nice big TV and the bed was OK. Main issue was the noise! I'd had a long day and wanted an early night but next-door decided to have a shower at 10pm and the noise was crazy, it was like they were in my room, then there was talking out in the corridor and I could hear every word. Worse still was the rain from 2am till 4am, there is some metal bars over the front of the hotel as a design feature, when it rains these make a hell of a lot of noise, it was honestly like being inside a drumkit. I had to put noise cancelling headphones in my ears. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep. Shower was average and leaked all over the floor which I had to clear up. No breakfast included but worst of all when I came to check out the lady on reception didn't ask if I'd enjoyed my stay or if everything had been OK or anything really. Too tired to really mention it and just left. Half the car park was flooded and some poor guys car was in about a foot of water, good luck getting to that. The location is just odd, as with most village hotels they are sort of near a place but also sort of not, this was sort of OK for my needs as I wanted to be in this location but most people will likely find it a bit off especially once the housing estate they are building next door is finished. All in all I'd not bother again.

This hotel was better than the reviews I had read! The room and shower looked brand new and we're lovely. Bar was noisy, it must be the acoustics or something. Room was quiet. The food was good, not greasy like a previous review said. Breakfast and evening meal both good. The room was not vacuumed in between nights (we stayed for two), and our cups were not cleaned.

The room was spacious and to the bed comfy. Modern decor and lots of facilities on offer. The bar and restaurant is open plan and spacious. In the evening bar can be busy especially if there's a sports event on. Large 4k screens and plenty of seating. The breakfast was a standard affair and edible. Food on the menu was American themed and reasonably priced, but very good. The bar staff for the most part were friendly if not sometimes able to keep up with demand, but again this was during a busy after-party for the BPM event. Overall the staff did go to great lengths to assist and I felt they gave the experience that of a high end London hotel.
