Bought a sofa 2 years ago and had issues from about 6 months in, had a technician to come and see if the fault was manufacturing fault which it was, they repaired which failed and now have offered a refund of 60 % due to depreciation over 2 years which is a joke as the sofa is faulty, I then asked for the latest report from emmeria to send on to the furniture ombudsman and they sent me the report from another customer which had his name, address, telephone number, photos from inside his home and his signature, I have emailed several times asking for answers has to why this has happened and I am still waiting, they have made a serious GDPR which in the wrong hands could have been extremely bad for the persons who’s data was leaked

I purchased a Norbello corner sofa along with a 5-year guarantee. Shortly after the purchase, my home situation changed, and I needed to update the delivery address. I had to visit their Rotherham office three times, and each time I was told different requirements for changing the address. After finally resolving this, the sofa was delivered but without the protective kit that was included in my order. More importantly, the bottom of one section was cracked upon arrival. They promised to send someone to fix it, but I’m not sure how they will handle it, as my experience so far has been disappointing. I also have to visit their office again to collect the protective kit, as they refused to post it to me, causing more unnecessary inconvenience, time, and expense. Additionally, the quality of the sofa is not the same as the one I saw in the showroom. The moving part easily comes off its support, and the cushions are much softer than the display model, which makes it uncomfortable. Overall, I’m very disappointed with both the product and the service, and I would not purchase a sofa from them again. Update: After waiting for almost a month I still did not receive my care kit even though they promised me to send it to my address. Another issue is that after only a month of using sofa, one of the cushion foam soften too much so that when I sit on the sofa, I can feel the frame! it is very soft now. I am really tired of chasing them :(

Had previous dealings with this SCS store around 2 year ago and was really poor, this time thought we would try them again and since we was passing the store and I said we will call in as we needed a small arm chair for my grandparents to go at the side of his bed downstairs as he has fallen Ill. Walked into store had a look around and found something ideal, we was sat in the chair and all of a sudden a small lady Barged her way through myself and my partner with a coffee machine water container just looking at us without saying a word absolutely no reason why she couldn’t have just walked around us which we though was really bizarre. There was only one other person on the floor at this time sat at the front of the store on her phone on FaceTime to someone having a laugh and joke and make no attempt to talk to us this was around 5:30 on the 2/8/25. When the smaller returned she went straight to the woman on FaceTime and joined in with her instead of coming to us and asking if everything was okay or had any questions. We had to walk to the front of the store and it was like we was a inconvenience asking her questions around the chair, they stayed on FaceTime and it was a really frosty atmosphere and just couldn’t wait for us to get out of the store just plain rude towards us both, We just left. I have multiple sales reps through my business and if they were being like this in the showroom or with customers they wouldn’t be working for us as I’m sure if SCS knew they were being like this with customers they wouldn’t be in a customer service role. Really appalling and this is the 2nd time after my order being delayed by 2 month when we was promised it for a certain date last time and delivery driver dropping it coming in, not the service you want when your spending 5 grand with them. So overall bad experiences with this store and will never return. Area manager needs to look at the staffing in the store. Lady is pictured on the left as I couldn’t see her name tag

Whatever you do DO NOT shop at SCS there after care is appalling we have had a chair less than a year and the electric recliner stopped working. They have just called to say they are not willing to repair the chair and tried to fob us off by buying one chair of a pair why would we have two different types of chair in the same room does that make sense they refused to refund the whole order. Thier customer service helpline will take you literally hours of being on hold before they answer or if you opt for the call back it will be days before they call you back. If someone from Emmiera group comes to have a look at a faulty item they are rude and actually said to my partner that they couldnt tell us when it will be fixed could be a year or more who knows! There are plenty of other furniture showroom close to Parkgate do yourself a favour and go elsewhere. Order No. S0034-7465091

Can't express how much you should avoid this branch. I would give 0 stars if I could but it doesn't allow it. We received a faulty sofa (manufacturing fault) and was told by customer service at head office that we could select a different sofa if we wanted as a replacement so we went here to try and resolve the issue rather than trekking out to the crystal peaks branch where we bought it from. We walked in and was greeted by a blonde woman asking if we knew what we wanted, I told her the situation and instantly, the mood changed. As if she didn't want anything to do with us, she grabbed what I can assume was her manager to ask but they went away from me in hushed voices which was extremely rude. She then said we could have a look around. We saw one which we liked so we went back downstairs to try and reorder the sofa. The same lady that greeted us turned her back to us and completely ignored us, instead offering coffee to some other customers. Managers and store employees walked straight past us, completely ignoring us leaving us standing there like lemons. We grabbed an elderly lady and asked if we could order the sofa to replace the faulty one and she just laughed at us and just said "I don't know". After this we just walked out absolutely appalled from the service we just received. It is absolutely unacceptable and I will be putting in a formal complaint into head office about this. Staff that are ready to jump on on you when you're buying but want absolutely nothing to do with you when you have a problem which has been resolved by head office and a simple reorder was needed. Absolutely disgusted.

I am a returning customer to SCS. We purchased 6 leather reclining sofas 6 years ago from SCS in Leeds. The sofas have been hard wearing and comfortable. We had a problem in the first 12 months with the leather on one sofa, this was eventually rectified to our satisfaction. We have ordered another 3 leather reclining sofas and await delivery. The staff in store allowed us to browse and were happy to walk away when we said we were just looking ...no pushy sales tactics. When we placed the order the salesman did his job well, he had a sense of humour and although he needed to take me through some terms and conditions this was done quickly. I hope are not waiting until october for delivery although this was a quoted delivery time frame. Overall so far so good.
