    I’ve been working with Cheryl since summer last year and I’ve seen a tremendous improvement in the things I initially came in for. Not only is Cheryl warm and friendly, and someone who makes you feel secure and comfortable the moment you meet her, she is also fantastic at helping you develop strategies and paths forward. City Centre Therapy has been really great for me, and while the jump might be scary, the team here, especially Cheryl, will always do their best to make you feel comfortable.

    I’ve been seeing Cheryl since September and it’s been one of the most comfortable and affirming experiences I’ve had in therapy. It was because of her sessions that I felt encouraged to seek out an ADHD diagnosis and Cheryl has been invaluable at helping me make sense of the condition. The warmth, empathy and kindness with which she conducts her sessions have been transformative. Having been to therapy before, this is the first time I’ve felt like a therapist has understood me and been able to adequately assess the cause of my difficulties. After having multiple therapeutic experiences that weren’t helpful, I became resigned at the thought that my issues couldn’t be treated. By understanding the cause of my problems and devising ways to treat them, my sessions with Cheryl have imbued in me a newfound hope and optimism and have given me a more positive outlook on my future.

    I have seen quite a few different therapist's over the year and by far Bod has been the best! Both Bod and the environment I saw him in was very warm and welcoming. He was the best at matching me with the right form of therapy needed from the very first couple sessions, I had seen other therapist to no avail as to me it seemed like they all were using a "one size fits all approach" which was very off putting. I would 100% recommend!!

    This is the year thst I am improving my life. I've finally stopped denying what was happening to me and faced up to the fact that I have issues with my mental health and need to get better. One of the ways that I did this was through finding a therapist who would be non judgmental but honest and helpful. Bod has changed my life. He was the right therapist for me as he was so understanding and made me feel comfortable. He gave me exercises to do at home which have been instrumental in rewiring my brain and how I think about things. They really worked for me! His office is so homely and relaxing and made me feel at ease. I've now finished my regular visits, and as I move forward I will always acknowledge just how much I can cope in life because of my sessions with Bod. Anyone who is struggling and needs help in order to get better, simply go to Bod. You won't regret it.

    I've been meaning to write this for a while but I wanted to spend time writing it to make sure I do a worthy job to explain how much Bod changed my life. I began CBT sessions with Bod in April 2018 when I unexpectedly left work with severe stress and anxiety. From my first consultation, I knew I had made the right choice in therapist... Bod has an amazing aura about him which is immediately calming, non judgemental and professional. I attended weekly sessions and I was given small but invaluable tasks to do between sessions... with no crazy pressure to do them like some therapists do (I did try to do them most of the time as I knew they'd be beneficial to my progress...). During my sessions with Bod, he reduced his fees to Β£60 per hour before 6pm - which is extremely competitive and meant I could afford to continue weekly sessions. I think I had about 14 sessions with Bod in total and I am a total different person to who I was before I met him. My confidence has improved so so much, I worry less about things that I used to obsess over, my driving is back to how it was pre-2013 car accident, I am so much more happier and care free. I've recommended a number of friends and family members to Bod. You don't have to have severe mental health issues to get help... anyone can benefit from CBT... I haven't had a session since August 2018 as I genuinely keep forgetting to get in touch with Bod (a very good indicator as to how good I am feeling!) I have little bits and bobs id like to tweak in my personality so I will definitely go back to him. I am so grateful for everything he has done for me and I wanted to leave this review to inform anyone who may be considering whether to seek this treatment of my experience with City Centre Therapy. I wish I had done this sooner but I suppose better late than never. Please give it a try, give it a few sessions and I am so confident you'll notice a difference. Thanks so much Bod, Lauren Taylor

    Despite only working with Bod on a very short-term basis (6 weeks), he was absolutely fantastic and has significantly improved my quality of life - I went from being essentially housebound and off work to starting a new job and able to use public transport due to his support. He was entirely flexible, able to switch between phone and face to face sessions to meet my needs due to my anxiety. His knowledge is excellent, and he was suitably challenging each week without pushing me too far. He is a rare mix of total professionalism and true empathy and I would not hesitate to recommend his services.
