Avoid working as a student/volunteer & signing up as a client! Placement onboarding is long and they will expect you to give up some on of your Saturdays for in-house face to face training and demand £50 be paid before you start your volunteering/placement with them. Some staff not all are unprofessional and high on substances, and unwilling to listen when delivering training, by speaking over you, some staff just think they are better than you. This so called organisation are a scam, they'll expect you to pay for your in-house supervision and in return you will not be supported by qualified professional counsellors, instead you will be criticised a be expected to give more of yourself to the point of burnout, without support. Expectations are maximum 3 clients back to back in cold damp rooms, poor lighting without hot running water in the wash room. Clients can not be expected to receive good wholesome therapy when the therapist is a burnout point. CFC are only interested in your money, Jo and Rukhsana are very crafty and they are bullies! They both are stuck up and judgmental - how is this ethical? Unimaginable how they are running this organisation as counsellors? People from poverish backgrounds will be given attitude from staff and judged. Mark and Toni (Antoinette) are unprofessional. People wanting a placement from other countries who's English is not their first language be warned, they will not give you clients. This place are only interested only in your money as the place is run by unpaid volunteers. Big red flag for all!

I had the pleasure of attending a six week course run by May whose expertise, care and knowledge of the subject matter was excellent. I highly recommend May representing any of the CFC's courses or counselling sessions.

Counseling Experience with May I self-referred via telephone, and I found the administrative and reception staff to be exceptionally pleasant and communicative. There was a good range of appointment options available. I was assigned to May, who proved to be an exemplary therapist. She consistently honored our scheduled calls and demonstrated attentive listening, empathy, understanding, and compassion. May was instrumental in helping me navigate some challenging dynamics, and I greatly appreciated her therapeutic approach. I highly recommend this service, as my experience was very positive.
