We have become regular weekly visitors to The Christie in Machester, as my wife undergoes treatment for a skin cancer. On every visit we are so amazed at the cleanliness, professionalism and empathy of every member of staff, from car park attendants to senior surgical staff. Uncannily, this helpful, friendly and supportive mood is infectious, in that virtually every patient and visitor looks out for the next, where assistance is always at hand. It feels warm, cuddly and protective. Undoubtedly The Christie is touched by grief and despair, but it is overwhelmingly a magical place, striving and succeeding in everyday miracles, large and small. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all our NHS hospitals were able to mirror The Christie.

I Have been under the care of the Christie for over 2 years now. I had major surgery and spent two weeks on ward 10 .I would rate the care I received there as outstanding. The post operative care I have received from the surgeon Mr Sutton and his specialist nurse Rachel has been excellent too. Sometimes it is hard to find the right words to express your gratitude.

Great staff. Car park D is only a few minutes walk. Parking is free. May be a queue to go in. We only waited about 8/10 minutes. Plenty of seating in the dining area.

Amazing........The Teenage Young Adult (TYA) department have been amazing with my 16 year old son, the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and offer help in any way possible, they go out of their way to get to know their patients personally, which from a parents point of view is very warming knowing that your child is not just a 'number' to them, they are treated as individuals with the upmost care and respect, even after our first visit they welcomed my son by name and that was by a nurse who passed on the corridor after only seeing my son for less than 10 minutes to take bloods the previous visit, that meant a hell of a lot to us. If you or your child have to visit The Christie TYA department at any point rest assure you will be welcomed and well looked after
