   I have just endured a very poor experience from start to finish, firstly Smith’s want to sell your property at the markets cheapest price so they gain a sale, secondly very poor communication , thirdly a very low quality sell/viewing technique and then a constant pushing to lower your price even more. Smiths did the viewings, they left my property unlocked on two occasions . I finally had an offer, these people constantly messed me about but smiths were totally on their side, so no integrity, eventually I backed out as it was enormously stressful and then smiths sent an email with an invoice for their 1% fee with a further message threatening debt collection if I don’t settle before end of February. Smiths are a stealth operator and the poorest estate agent I have come across, I think their approach is scandalous and everyone should be made aware. I will now spend my time making sure they cannot repeat this and upset more people. KEEP AWAY FROM SMITHS IN EAST LEAKE, QUORN AND CHARNWOOD

   This Estate Agent feels he can value a property without actually viewing it and without considering real live evidence. I used to be an Estate Agent and would never dream of speaking to a vendor in this way, or valuing their home without even actually seeing it. Having had interest in my home at a much higher value this agent planned to market at £25k beneath this value. I feel very messed about by this agent, as I had explained initially on booking my valuation of what I wanted to achieve for my home and provided evidence of the interest at the higher value only to discover on the day of valuation that this agent didn’t believe the current market value. The property market has changed considerably over recent years, but this agent wants to ignore the current and real price increases and win a fast fee quite clearly. My advice to MR Smith would be to look at the real current market prices instead of just going on previously sold prices of all of the tired rented out similar houses of times gone by.

   Unreliable and poor handling of my offer. I put in an offer for a house I was looking forward to buy, arranged for a second viewing and never received any more messages from them. I call myself only to be informed the property was sold just an hour before me calling. I was willing to offer a higher bid and also accelerate the process if told. Then they proceed to tell me how it was my fault for not rushing in to buy the property. Utterly unprofessional, I would not recommend their services to anyone looking for a home.

   Sent emails back and forth with regards to a viewing. Have got the confirmation in black and white on my emails. Get to the property and no sign of anyone. Got in touch with the rudest agent for her to tell me the property was reserved the night before of our viewing. Travelled 45 mins, thanks for the waste of time and energy x

   Terrible estate agents, Tamworth branch. Letting a property out that was infested with fleas, ants and riddled with asbestos (Greenhill close dosthill) the landlady was by far the worst person I’ve ever dealt with, constant harassment and stalking. Quick enough to take your money but not willing to do anything when there’s a problem raised. Avoid!

   I have used many rental agents and have never felt compelled to write any of them a positive review until now. Smith's were excellent. They came out to the property quickly, got it online quickly, found a tenant and did all the paperwork efficiently. I received the remainder of the first month's rent on the day the tenant moved in. Their fee was very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use them again.
