   what is the point of having a phone line if it is never answered!. When i went to the wakefield eye clinic last time, they told me to call before i came as there was no room and sent me to pontefract. Trying to call now to not waste a journy and noone is answering. judging by the reviews on here the phone is never answed. I tried pontefract and they wont help, just tell me i have to try wakefield first.

   Last May I went to spec savers and they referred me and said if they thought it was urgent they'd get me in within the week they got back same day and booked me in straight away was there for 6 hours first time and was there every 2 week for abit had to have blood test chest x- Ray and that test with the yellow dye in vein I was 20 at time and very scared of everything my stepdad came to every appointment and holded my hand when i started to panic i cried at home where my mum would stay with me cause of how scared i got and found out i had a blinding disease called VKH and would've gone blind in both eyes if i didn't get it sorted straight away and i was every scared but everyone was nice and sweet and very caring and made sure I felt comfortable and I'm very grateful and I can now see and only problem I had is I'm short sighted in the eye it effected most but I'm grateful to still have my sight everyone there was amazing thank you so much

   The staff at the eye centre are absolutely stars. I was taken ill before my procedure and the care i received from all the staff was absolutely outstanding. Up and above a days work. They do their job because they care about people. Professional, caring and with the human touch. From start to finish absolute stars. Thank you so much

   Excellent place to go if you have eye problems or a disability, my son got an appointment the next day after his usual optician spotted something that needed checking out, they were on time, there was no waiting about, they were really friendly and understanding. Definitely recommend the specialist here he is very good at his work. Thank you.

   I attended the clinic to get a fragment of metal removed from my eye. Staff at reception are nice. She even managed to squeeze me in to been seen sooner rather than 2 Days time. But the Dr who saw me was the most arrogant person ever. He kept complaining that my eye was wondering all over the place this not made any easyer by a member of staff coming into the room to use the photocopier. I understand about having to keep my eye still but he also wanted my good eye to stay open it's not very easy keeping a good eye from not blinking as it's really hard to only blink one eye. There was no communication though the proses nothing like that's it keep looking to the right , Neely got it nothing, He even left me in the frame while he typed on his computer until I asked him if he had got it out to which he then reply yes all out

   I attended my appointment on the 22nd of May as per my optician's request. 4 months later, I still have not heard from them. I have called the centre numerous times, sent them an email, left a voicemail and they still have not come back to me. Disappointing service from the people who you trust to show care and compassion when you are in need.

   My 2 year old son had an appointment and wasn't seen to until 2 hours later... I understand that things are a bit difficult due to covid restrictions but I just don't understand how the staff expect young children to wait such long hours! Half an hour wait would have been fine but this was almost 2 hours!!! My kid went into a full on tantrum mode and the staff were being exceptionally slow! When we finally did get seen to it only took 10 minutes! A system needs to be put in place for kids to be seen as quickly as possible!
