probably the worst chips ive ever had. looks like theyve been warmed up from the day before

Been coming here for years. Never had a bad portion of chips. Never had a bad burger nor pizza nor kebab. The wife loves the fish size and taste, happy wife happy life. The long term staff are friendly, polite and great service. And the portion sizes are large. Maybe not the largest but certainly not small or bad value. So please trust me. Some reviews are simply not accurate. Or "prefer" other shops ;-). If you disagree or if I'm wrong, not offence intended. Take care people.

Fantastic little chippy. Everything is cooked fresh, no warm-ups. Really nice. Fish freshly battered and fried, 2 choices of curry, plenty of Doner meat. All good.

As was passing at 1:10, decided to pop in and get a quick hot lunch - doors were open, sign lit up saying open and aware they’re supposed to be open from 11:30-13:30 daily (as listed on Trip Advisor and see when passing). Got inside and was told they’re ‘finished’ - everything clearly had been turned off for a while as no evidence of food having been made, been cleaned away. This was over 15 minutes before closing and had clearly stopped serving food much earlier to clear the place away. Why have the doors open and the ‘open’ sign on when you’re not.

Went in at lunch time, was only customer, ordered cheese n chips, was microwaved, then ordered donor and chips, again the donor was microwaved, i like fresh food, and i like too help local buisness,in these tough times, if i wanted microwave food,i would have gone too iceland. £9 spent on rubbish food, thats why i wont be back, other places, still care about Quality. And that is where my money will go, too a buisness who still cares about quality, and not just how too serve reheated food.

We ordered a large chips plus 2 fish which came in 3 separate cartons and each weighed about the same as we took them out of the bag so you can imagine how 'large' the chips were. Fish was freshly fried to order, cod itself good but the batter soggy. Price was v reasonable but not really likely to be rushing back.
