I have been coming to this Asda for over 15 years and never had a problem. But the last few times I have been in using the self service tills, the staff are either standing in a circle chatting away, on their phones or no staff at all manning the tills.. which causes queues and angry customers!!! And when you ask to be served you get a sigh or a dirty look, very disappointing… such a shame!

Seriously very rude STAFF. Doing daily shopping with my daughter and Staff Carr had a pack of Lemon juice bottle in her hand came in my face saying 'REALLY', I said sorry she said you in my way. She said can I not see she is putting stock. She was so rude completely disrespectful and zero competent for customer care. Seriously she should not be around customer with stinking attitude and even Paul witnessed her saying 'she can be rude'. I said what the reason you speak in this manner to customer and really think she was having bad day at work or being racist to me as being Asian with head scarf..the way she looked at me and spoke was terrible and when my daughter said why she is being rude she said to her you dont talk. Never experienced this approach from any Asda staff before. She should be disciplined and given training for customer care. Disgusted how rude she was. Asked to speak to manager but Paul said they on conference call. looks like this store has left staff Carr without customer care and support training. This store is near my house and I have been shopping most of the days in this Asda and never had any issues like this before as most of the staff had always been helpful.

The reason for my score was due to putting in a click and collect order, a few hours before collection I was notified that the main purchase on my order was not available. I was unable to find a way of cancelling the remainder of the order. On collection of the order, staff seemed unable to locate it and had to check my phone for details of the items being collected in order to identify my order! There did not seem to be any name to identify the order.

The short asian woman who wears a headscarf is so racist that she makes me feel uncomfortable and do my shopping online instead coming here! I have never stolen anything in my life but because I’m a black woman this woman will come to me ask me to scan things with me at self check out or show her my receipt before I even get to door and one time she was like or you’re not using self check like huh

As a smaller store, lower stock level and selection is obviously expected. However, often this store restocks only the premium lines and more often than not, sold at vastly inflated prices, sometimes up to 50% higher than Asdas main stores. I’ve also noticed that random excessive price hikes on both Asda and Standard brand lines overnight snd often a single item will be increased a few times over a month period. Not a practice I have really seen happen elsewhere. Be prepared for long queues at busier times as although there are 6 self scan points, 1 kiosk and 3-4 cashier lanes. It is very rare that more than 4 self scan point are in working order, it takes queues the length of the store before the thought to open a cashier lane occurs and I don’t think I have actually seen staff serve at the kiosk in over 12 months. That being said the staff instore are really friendly and generally very helpful when asked for any assistance.

This is a 2.3 star review. This is a small local Asda. It has a car park that is sufficient for the level of business and a bus stop outside. The level of service and food quality had deteriorate over the last few months. It has always been understaffed especially at the checkout. It has two manned checkout positions that are often not open so you have to use the self check out. They don't work correctly at the best of times and often the person supervising them and correcting errors is the person working at the alcohol and tabacco counter. This leads to large queues and lots of frustrated customers. In recent months all the offer pricing is wrong when it comes to scanning your item at the check out so you have to check the receipt as soon as you have purchased the items. If you are luck enough to get a manned till you have to be careful that they don't double scan your items, it's a miracle how many times it happens "by accident". A few of the staff are really friendly, polite and make an effort but some look like they don't want to be there, probably because they don't want to be there. I have also noticed that a lot of stock is short dated, damaged or out of stock. They have recently improved their plant based and free from ranges which is a. Positive, I would like to see a little More but I appreciate as a small story they can't stock everything. Asda have recently introduced a rewards app. Which rewards you with cash back on products they have vastly inflated so it leaves the consumer out of pocket. It also slows down the queue whilst you mess about loading an app and scanning it. Your often grated by beggers outside the store asking for money. Some of them claim to be homeless but all live in a house around the corner. It puts a Lot of people off especially if you are elderly of vulnerable. It also makes people uncomfortable when using the ATM machine. ASDA seem to be OK with them begging there. My general feeling is that the shop is in decline and its only a matter of time before it will get a shake up or a shake down. I use it for convince as I am often passing but my usage has declined by 50% I The last few months. I have opted for a local shop or the Co-op as alternative. I hope they address the issues as it use to be a good local store.

No tills open. Always expect you to goto the self-service. Parking is rubbish. The range of products is, relatively, small. The staff are invisible. And if one was to chance upon a member of staff, you would be very lucky if they help out, at all. I would not shop here at all, as, it is a very unpleasant experience.
