   Terrible customer service - for context, I was purchasing lunch and opted for the Meal Deal. The stickers for the drinks, sandwiches and snacks were labelled accordingly. However, when I got to the till, the cashier advised me my drink was not part of the meal deal (cost difference +£3). So I went to get another drink but took a picture to show that the drink I initially selected was labelled as part of the meal deal. The cashier then said my snack was not part of the meal deal either. So, I went to get an alternative snack but took a picture to show my initial snack indeed was part of the deal. The cashier was confused and his colleague at the next cashier conveniently said “That’s not our job to fix. We only operate the tills” in a very dismissive and unprofessional tone. When I challenged her that customers were paying up to 50% more because of this error she gave me a “so what” shrug. I looked online and saw that my original selection is part of the Meal Deal so this problem seems isolated to this Sainsbury’s only. Either way, never going back here again. For all reading this…. There’s a Tesco Express around the corner. Better customer service skills and they don’t overcharge you.

   Busy store during lunch hour. Self checkouts are easy to use. Queue is long but it does move quickly. I was mainly purchasing lunch time meal deal for under £4.

   Visiting Leeds and called in at this store. Really helpful and pleasant member of staff on Sunday morning duty Good selection of food. We were very pleased. It was in total contrast to our experience in Sainsbury's store near the Lace market in Nottingham the next day which was a negative one. It made us appreciate the experience in the Leeds store that much more.

   Very rude staff, check out lad to busy on his phone. No please thank you nectar etc . Out of some key items aswell. The store team genuinely look like they’ve had the store hamster put down.

   I get followed round the shop every time I go here by the unfriendly security even though I’ve never had a problem, my partner and friends have the same issue. I feel really unwelcome and puts me off shopping here.

   I got a delivery from them through UberEats and sent me a rotten aubergine, a bag of baby spinach already opened (as soon as I took it from the shopping bag it spread half of the content on the floor), the wrong toilet rolls (I got a much cheaper pack but I have been charged for the more expensive), the wrong mince meat (I odered pork and I got beef). All of this in ONE order of few items! I can say that I will never order from Sainsbury's again.

   Pathetic attempt at implementing policy... Alex the manager said due to fraud related issues, they are no longer allowed to change a twenty for two ten pound notes, even if I took the cash out of the machine attached to the front of their building!?!?!? (Apparently it's not their machine, just branded as such, not that that's relevant, but apparently had to be mentioned) WHATS THE POINT!? You shouldn't have policies that impede your customers. I rarely use cash because of this pandemic, and when I need change at 8am in the morning half asleep, I shouldn't be forced to buy something MORE for a seemingly simple exchange! (P.s. I was standing with a bottle of milk I'd JUST purchased and they still would not use their managers discretion to deal with my simple request) ....Sort your policies out please Sainsbury's Local, so that they reflect 2021!

   Being a local, it's slightly expensive but very well stocked . From fresh produce, to bakery items and ready to eat meals, you can find everything here . Being located at the Leeds Train Station, it's a convenient stop for those morning breakfast emergencies! I absolutely love their egg & cress Sandwiches and salad bowls !

   I do my shopping here as it has the best selection compared to the other local mini supermarkets. It's very reasonably priced considering its a local and not a larger store and where its location is. Also every time I've been in the staff have always been really nice and friendly.
