Today is the 25th, meat until November 29th, opened today, terrible stench. BEWARE OF MEAT AT LIDL. Bought in Ossett 22/11/25.

The only place I can find smooth pasta sauce for my autistic kids! Good value. Good selection. Happy now anchovies are back. Please bring back the deluxe salted caramel hot chocolate.
Just got back from lidl ossett. When I got to the till to pay I loaded all my shopping onto the convyer belt and the shop assistant on the till saw me there and waited until I had loaded my last item on to the belt to then look at me and say this till is closed!.. when I asked her where the closed sign was she looked up and pointed to the sky I had no idea what she was pointing to as I certainly couldn' t see a closed sign in the sky! She then pointed to the red light on the number above her head. Now this is firstly not good for those who wont think to look up at a red light in the sky and secondly being colour blind means its hard to determine what the colour is! The lady on this till was rude and non helpful. I then loaded all my stuff back into my basket and went over to the self service tills where we were all crambed in together like sardines with no room to monouvere. It was so cramped a shop assistant needed to get his baskets back to the other end of the shop and he rambed into my basket ( i'm glad there were no eggs in the basket ) At the end of the self service tills you then needed a reciept to get out and some elderly man hadnt picked up his reciept so couldnt get out, your shop assistant wasn' t helpful despite the fact the man was stood there with a trolley of paid goods.. i had to let him out with my reciept or he would have still benn there. Advice If a till is closed put a closed sign at the end of the till, if a shop assistant is serving were not going to think the till is closed! Management sort your rude staff out.
To say this shop as been done why don't these places realise self serve would be better to make them all cash an card as stood 20 mins waiting for till as only 1 worked an was busy I only had 3 items ridiculous n
We waited ages for the refurbishment and..... its not much different. I travel up and down the country and other stores are so much better and cleaner. Still OK to shop at but just left the store in Goole for example and that's a store that looks vibrant and fresh. The good thing about Ossett is the self service tills because not all New stores have them. Still going to go now and then but as my shopping trends changed while the work was being done I've found other cheaper or better alternatives. The app is not as appealing anymore.
My wife did a longish shop there. She was about to drive out when the phone rang - not good news. Today we were sent a £90 carpark fine for exceeding the 1.30 minute allowance by 10 minutes. Best not to shop at this store again.
Brilliant prices and some very different products. Not a place for top brands but alternatives are available. Fresh baked items are very good especially croissants and baguettes. Cheaper on most items than normal branded supermarkets but not as much choice. Excellent loyalty scheme via app.
Excellent supermarket, LIDL known for their very competitive pricing. A very wide choice of produce, good bakery and beers/wines (if you look carefully). Recently extended and upgraded. A very good amenity for Ossett. Lots of parking too.
