(Initial Manager A) refused my refund for avocados purchased at 1:25 PM. I returned (Approx. before 2 PM) and he violated the company's policy. Core reason for refusal : He told his colleague that fresh produce could not be refunded and he also told me the same, especially if it had been out of the store for 20 minutes. He claimed that refunds for fresh produce are only possible while the customer is still inside the store. This claim is NOT in Aldi's official policy." He insisted the avocado was 'warm,' even though he felt it through the skin himself and knew it was cold/normal (it's winter!). He is very talented at lying.  I was shocked by the Manager’s pusillanimous attempt to avoid responsibility by telling such a blatant lie. The Policy Violation ignored by the Manager is clearly printed on the receipt : "Any item bought in our stores is covered by a no quibble money-back guarantee. If you change your mind, bring it back within 60 days with the receipt and in its original condition for an exchange or refund..."!!!!!!!! Due to this Manager's refusal of the refund, I left the item and my receipt on the counter, handing it to him so he could be happy. He is dishonest, violates the company's promise and is unfit for his position. Their service is not only extremely rude but also completely uncivilized! His deeply contemptible lie about the 'warm' avocado is proof of the moral collapse within their leadership.

Cashier Katherine was very unprofessional. Unfriendly, nitpicky and was making fun of a customer with another cashier behind her whilst serving customers. Very disappointing considering that it was over a genuine mistake. I can appreciate that people might not be having a good day at work but to be making fun of people, especially in front of other customers is just mean and quite frankly not good enough. I think that Lidl should pay attention more to the people that represent their company.

Called into store yesterday 02/10/2025 as I do most days and have done since it opened. Bought a ready meal for today's lunch amongst other things. However on my journey into work today I noticed it said use by not best before on the 02/10/25. Now admittedly and whilst I didn't check the date I wasn't expecting Aldi to have meals on the shelf given the fact it didn't have a reduced sticker on, that had to be eaten within a few hours of being purchased. On my return to the store just now I first approach a male member of staff and told him the situation and could I please exchange the meal, he directed me to the store manager Keeley. After explaining to her what had occurred. Her reply was simple the food was in date when you bought it and wasn't concerned that it only had a few hours to be safely eating. She refused a replacement. I now know why Aldi's profits are impressive, please make sure you check all dates on Aldi's food when you are spending your hard earned cash. I won't need to because I won't be using their stores again. From now on I will be spending my money at Asda lower wortley who I feel are far more progressive company when it comes to customers concerns.

Some cashiers are strange and arrogant, demonstrating you an "attitude", maybe, they came from an island of SP, it's funny, but absolutely out of place and not professional.

It was great, a thrill-a-minute shopping experience that will never be surpassed. I will definitely return next time I need household essentials or groceries

Standard Aldi. Good stock levels, with a good range of food options, with a brand name popping up every now and then. Biggest issue is getting out of the car park if you're turning right.

Being our nearest supermarket we shop here because it's handy. However, the potatoes are consistently rotten even though there are days left on the best before. Sure, they'll swap them over but that's no good at tea time when you have a family to feed. Really disappointed
