Nice new store with an excellent bakery and value for money products even if they are a clone of the high street with a name change!!

Malin Bridge Lidl is the busiest Lidl store in Sheffield, which opened during Covid lockdown. The store is spacious, the staff are great and it's in a good location, with wide parking bays and two electric vehicle charging points. Thank you to the Lidl Team during our previous unannounced visits: - On 12-May, Customer Assistant Beth was very helpful, smiley and a great advert for Lidl. When asked, she told us she is extremely happy in her job, but surprisingly, then mentioned she had skipped her break... you would not have known! On 05-May, Store Manager Catherine, Shaq and Sky were so helpful with our reviewer, who was recovering from surgery. They opened a till so he could slowly load out his shopping without a queue and gave him a lift to his car with his bags. On 27-Mar, Adam kindly went above and beyond his duty, supporting our reviewer, over a situation with trolley loading at the checkout. On 05-Oct-22, Ruby was at the checkout and it was great that she was so polite and helpful, the latest of a crop of young customer assistants that Lidl has put in place in the store. On 26-Aug-22, Alana served our reviewer after her till had closed and on 18-Jun, she came into work to help out at short notice on her day off. On 11-Jun-22, Skye, a month into her new job, was full of energy and re-opened her till just after closing, when she noticed queues were building and our reviewer had a full trolly. On 18-May-22, our reviewer off-loaded his shopping unaware that the till was closing and Alana delayed her break to help out. Lidl has changed the experience for the British shopper and given the big supermarkets a few challenges! Lidl uses staff to multitask and stack shelves when the check outs are quiet. This means tills open and close frequently to keep customers happy. Since new tills were installed in the UK in 2016-17, the speed of service and particularly staff reaction to change in demand via headsets, means you will be checked-out very quickly. The range of products and weekly specials is quite exceptional. We love the continental range that changes frequently, it spices up the weekly shop! Thank you Lidl.

A typical Lidl. This Lidl has customer toilets and plenty of customer parking. Lidl has gotten a lot more expensive you can see it aside from that it has a good selection of food. Lidl is more expensive than Aldi but Lidl has a much wider selection refrigerated food as well as a fresh bakery which Aldi doesn't have. Lastly i dont recall this Lidl having any self checkouts. Would go again.

Still one if my favourite stores with good parking and easy access. Busy first thing (8am - 8:30am) with youngsters from the local school but after that it's much quieter. Stock levels on some products have been suffering in recent times and some items have disappeared altogether. Who knows if things will ever get back to normal. So long as there's croissants available I'm happy.

Despite everybody except one objecting to the planning application it has proved a popular shop. There are no traffic jams outside and I believe some motorists actually shop here and do not drive further. There are even pedestrians and cyclists using the shop. Who would if thought ghis?
