   There’s nothing wrong with the store itself or the staff, they were perfectly fine. The issue was with the security guard. I went in after work, still in my business clothes, wearing my autism lanyard and even showed my work badge, not that I should have to. Despite that, I was the only person he followed around the shop and watched throughout my whole transaction. I didn’t even have a bag or anything with pockets, so I don’t understand what he thought I was going to steal. There were plenty of other people in the store, including two women who were clearly tipsy, but they were left alone. As a mixed race person, it’s hard not to feel like I was being targeted. It made me feel really uncomfortable and unwelcome.

   Woman here was abusive. I wanted to get some cigarettes and they IDed me despite me clearing looking over 25. The woman starting getting involved with her colleagues job. She was very rude. She told me to “go to therapy” and “get some sleep”. I obviously was angry because I needed a cigarette. Anyway, I hope she enjoys the withdrawals from all the candy air she’s been puffing. The woman was Asian and had hoop earrings. I tried to complain but they took too long.

   Woman working behind the till today at about 8:40pm was so rude and unkind. Shouting at customers. My self scanner was not scanning some tomatoes and took me ages to get her attention to help, then it would not scan my club card, she shouted at me to give her a minute, the huffing and puffing she gave me when she came over as if i am dumb and really inconveniencing her really upset me after a long day. No smile, no manners. Walked out the shop feeling belittled and stupid. Not sure what an elderly customer is meant to do when they have even more trouble with it than me, a young person. I also overhead her refusing a young boy a carrier bag as she obviously assumed by the way he looks that he would steal it. No customer service here.

   Express Tesco's is an ideal place to shop if your in the Grand Central or New Street Station. They hold most items for the traveler, public toilets only around the corner. They have an elevator, steps, or lifts for those individuals who may have a disability, easy access to enter the shop, and very help full staff. The pace is surrounded by cafes, Resturants, and shops to buy clothes,cards gift shops.

   The self serve tills are very slow and do not register club cards or gift cards for at least ten tries. Not enough staff to assist so you just have to wait.

   Best meal deals here. Sometimes the staff are still unpacking them in the morning but if you ask them for the thing you want which is still in boxes they go in the back room and bring it for you. I do that a lot. Staff helpful and always help me get the back room stuff in the morning.
