   I went there for some Latvian food, was pleasantly surprised by the variety of products (especially quark bars, they have almost all flavours of Kārums in the freezer section)! The staff were very friendly and even packaged my groceries into bags at checkout. I'll definitely come back for more in the future!

   I entered this shop to pick up some bread and some deli, and I left feeling disrespected, intimidated, completely taken aback by the owner’s behaviour. Here is what happened: As I approached the till, I asked the owner if I could have a pack of Gaviscon. To my surprise, he responded angrily, almost shouting, asking why I hadn’t asked the girl from the butcher/cheese section instead. I said “sorry” and explained calmly that I did not know I was supposed to ask her, as I am just a customer and didn’t know how the shop was organised. Even though I stayed calm and polite, he repeated several times, in a raised voice, that I “should have known that.” I tried to explain that I meant no harm and simply thought it was appropriate to ask him, since the medication was only about six feet away behind the other till to his right. I want to make it clear that I did not raise my voice or act aggressively at any point. I entered the shop in a happy mood, having just come from church, and left feeling belittled, targeted, intimidated, and scared. I also could not help but feel that his behaviour would not have been the same if I were a man. Shouting at or intimidating a customer over such a small misunderstanding is completely unacceptable. Even if there is a rule about who handles medication, staff should always explain things calmly, help customers immediately, and treat them with courtesy and respect. No customer should have to leave a shop feeling this way. I hope sharing this experience helps others understand what happened and encourages better behaviour in the future.

   Be careful they do not charge twice for same item in too much of a hurry to get people out late in the day. We miss Lituanica in Birmingham City Centre.

   Love this place - really glad it's my closest supermarket. Great crusty bread, cakes & homemade perogis etc. So many different eastern European meats, fish, wines, beers. All great value. Feels much more ethical shopping here than at e.g. Tesco. Excellent friendly staff too.

   We love this shop. A great variety of smoked sausage, pastries, drinks and alcohol plus much more, from around Eastern Europe. Nice to shop local and support our community. If you're in the area, do pop in. I think you'll be glad you did.
