I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience today was genuinely shocking and I feel I have to warn others. I went into the Poundland around 5:00 pm to buy a few basic household items. From the moment I walked in, the staff member on the till was extremely rude and aggressive. When I asked a simple question about whether they had more of an item in the back (politely, I might add), she snapped back with โIf itโs not on the shelf then we ainโt got it, what do you think?โ in a very hostile tone. No โsorryโ, no โlet me checkโ, nothing even remotely professional. Later when I went to pay, she threw my items across the counter instead of handing them to me, sighed loudly the whole time she was scanning, and when I said โthank youโ she just stared at me with an annoyed expression and said โnextโ before Iโd even picked up my bag. Iโve shopped at many Poundland stores over the years and the vast majority of staff are perfectly pleasant or at least neutral. This was by far the worst customer service Iโve ever received in any pound shop. Iโm not expecting five-star luxury treatment โ itโs Poundland โ but basic politeness and not being openly rude to customers shouldnโt be too much to ask. Very disappointed and wonโt be returning to this particular branch

Great value products, however one of the cashier's has a attitude issue and is very rude to customers I've been in a few times and have seen this happen on multiple occasions both towards myself or other customers at the self serve. How is this acceptable in the retail sector all it's going to do is effect business as people will go elsewhere.

Very rude cashier refused to give me allergy tablets I went to superdrug and got the same medicine and didn't even need to show my ID. ALWAYS RUDE! clearly that's why she works in retail great with clients!!!!!

Iโve been age restricted there several times even tho Iโve shown my college ID to them and the staff there say itโs not a form of ID. Even tho,you have to be 16 to go to college and you can get energy drinks at 16 so clearly the staff donโt have common sence

Great store. Can get some really good deals here. They have also added self checkout stations to help with contactless shopping which is a brilliant addition to this store which is very well located on trinity. They do also have staff on the tills if you prefer to checkout that way. Staff are always polite and friendly. They have been and still are doing a great job throughout this pandemic. At busy times a staff member is keeping the number of shoppers in store quite low with staff on the door. Good sized store but only issue is that parking isn't very close by if you are disabled.
