   I must express my profound dissatisfaction with the recent dental surgery I underwent. My initial visit was marked by an inadequate diagnosis, resulting in a referral for a hygiene appointment. Upon seeking a different dentist, I received a diagnosis of a cracked tooth, necessitating a further week of excruciating pain. The only available course of action was to contact 111 or visit a sister private branch. On the day of my tooth extraction appointment, I was told today is not the day for dentist as she every appointment was run behind and that the procedure may not be feasible due to the limited advancement of the surgery. Consequently, she was referred to a hospital or a sister private branch. During the extraction, my half-tooth was removed, and I was provided with temporary dressing. Subsequently, I was referred to a specialist, who informed me that the recovery process could take anywhere from six weeks to three months. During this time, I am experiencing severe pain and am unable to consume any food. Regrettably, the temporary fix was not applied correctly, resulting in further discomfort. The entire experience was characterised by a lack of urgency and inadequate care. It is evident that the dental facility lacks the necessary equipment and expertise to handle tooth extraction cases effectively. Consequently, patients are diverted to their sister private branch or referred to hospitals, which further exacerbates the situation. In light of my current predicament, I am urgently seeking a private emergency appointment to address my severe pain and the complications associated with the half-extraction. I believe it is important to share my experience. Also look at their video on their website it’s total rubbish and nothing like the real place.

   Update: so happy with this dentist. Came here as a pregnant patient and was very taken care of from reception to the dentist. Honestly deserves 10/10. Also Sorted my husband out in an emergency situation which we are so thankful for! Will be staying with this dentist from now on and recommending to everyone. Great communication, great dentist and the honesty is refreshing

   Love this dentist I have never felt more at ease getting my teeth checked/cleaned!! Today I had a hygienist appointment and wow Shima and Pryanka made me feel so comfortable.. they was reassuring me from the minute I got in their, stopping from breaks whilst cleaning them and constantly checking I was ok.. it just made me feel so much better for the next time I go !!

   I've never had an issue with the actual dentistry here - dentists and nurses are always very nice and I've had a good experience with them. Communication, however, is lacking. I've had two instances of miscommunication since I've been using this surgery. They once rescheduled an appointment due to a nurse getting COVID, said they'd let me know when the new one was but never did, and then blamed me for not turning up. More recently there was a mix up about the timing of a hygienist appointment, which ended up being scheduled 30mins before the time confirmed on the phone when I booked. When they call you, the number comes up as unknown/spam - I tend not to answer spam calls - but they never leave a voicemail with the details of your appointment. I also have never received any receipts for hygienist deposits through my email, even though they have the correct email address on file for me. Please consider an automated text service to keep people up to date. It's the 21st century and my GP, vet, hair dresser etc all do this. It would save you time and reduce missed appointments massively.

   Awful, awful dentist. I've given this surgery many chances but the level care I have experienced is repeatedly sub-standard. I will be changing my dentist and I do not recommend anyone to go here. I went for a check up last year and was told I had possible signs of oral cancer and that I would need to be emergency referred to Queen Mary's hospital, where I would be seen within the next two weeks. After waiting over a week, I phoned the hospital to discover the dentist had forgotten to refer me. When I questioned the surgery they lied and tried to blame QM. They then sent the referral that day and the hospital insisted on seeing me the next day. I was meant to go on holiday that day but had to rearrange and pay extra to go the day later. Luckily everything checked out OK at the hospital. On the same checkup I saw the hygienist. She was extremely aggressive and left my mouth extremely sore. Yesterday I had another incident with this surgery. I phoned the surgery gor an emergency appointment as I have an infected wisdom tooth. I was told a dentist may possibly phone me back that day but they couldn't guarantee. I informed them how unwell I was but they did not return my call. I later had to phone NHS 111 as I became quite poorly with the infection and needed antibiotics.

   Wonderful staff! A very clean, small working space. Extremely helpful and knowledgeable staff. The dentist there James McDonnell is wonderful. Informative and gentle when I informed him of my fear of dentists. Very reassuring and easy going!
