We were recommended to use Ocean Kitchens by another trader. Our kitchen was 16 years old and need a refurbishment but we only needed to replace the cupboard doors and some other items such as the cooker hood, sink unit and some lighting. We contacted Martin Beech the MD who visited us at home and made an assessment of our needs. We visited the factory and chose our colour scheme and fittings. It was a simple and quick experience. The fitter was an experienced and skilful professional and more importantly a clean worker and a polite person. There was little disruption in the fitting of the new kitchen and it progressed quickly. Now we have a completely transformed, modernised kitchen. Our friends who visit are amazed at the change. We recently had our kitchen refurbished by Ocean kitchens and have to say they delivered exactly what they promised. Our dark kitchen was transformed into a light airy space with new doors,worktops,hob and sink All this took place whilst we were away on holiday,when we returned home we were delighted with the result. A review of our experience with having a kitchen fitted by Ocean Kitchens. Having paid Ocean Kitchens to provide us with a ‘wow factor’ kitchen we have experienced the full and varied service from the initial promises of excellence to the unsatisfactory standard of the initial completion of the job. After discovering a number of shortcomings after the kitchen was meant to be completed we had to battle to get things put right and not once receiving a decent apology. Having discussed our experience with qualified individuals we are considering pursuing recompense from Ocean Kitchens. Also, as is the trend now to complete a review of one’s interaction with a business using the numerous and varied forms of social media, we feel justified in completing such a review. Having tried to inform Ocean Kitchens of what we saw as its shortcomings with the intention to achieve three things. The first intention was to improve the lacking customer service of Ocean Kitchens. The second was to ensure that after finding serious shortcomings in the standard of work in our kitchen that Ocean Kitchens would be aware of the need to project manage each and every job undertaken well and liaise with the customer in a professional manner at all times. The final intention was to get a proper job done. The question left with us is how can we be confident that there are not any other substandard examples of work hidden in our kitchen completed by the original, unsupervised kitchen fitter? Perhaps that may also explain why, after numerous requests for a guarantee, we have been fobbed off with excuses such as:- ‘We are a small company and do not have the staff or the time to provide one.’ That speaks volumes. Without proper quality control how can Ocean Kitchens assure us that the overall job done was totally professional? Overall we feel that in our experience maybe a 5 out of 10 would be a fair reflection of the WHOLE process from start to finish. Hardly a reflection of the excellence we were promised. Definitely a real shortfall from the promised level of perfection.
I used the online design service and within hours, I received a call and a quote. The kitchen is now finished on time and on budget and I'm happy to leave here a very positive review.
I am very impressed with the quality. My last kitchen was the cheapest quote I could find but Ocean cost more but its better value as this will last for years and years. I'm Very pleased, thanks.
