I sent off a patches request this morning and got reply from the receptionist for an appointment that afternoon. Was seen by Dr Sarwar who was extremely polite and professional in looking after me. Dr Sarwar has given me good advice and I will follow up on it. May I take the time to thank the team at North Leeds Medical practice for getting me in today. By the way a patient, a Mrs Moore who was late for an appointment was extremely rude to Jeff on reception whilst my wife and I were waiting to see Doctor Sarwar. Kind regards Nigel

I honestly regret the day I decided to register with this medical practice after moving to Leeds. The level of service has been absolutely disgraceful. When I went in for my appointment, the receptionist — a lady with dark brown hair — spoke to me in an extremely condescending manner. She ridiculed me simply because I didn’t know which direction the doctor’s room was. Her attitude was unnecessarily rude and dismissive, and it made the whole experience very unpleasant. Avoid !!!

If you are going through the menopause, avoid like the plague. First appointment I was told " the NHS don't prescribe HRT". Sincerely hope this was a lie as the next day the doctor called back and prescribed a higher dose than the one I requested. When I suggested a face to face appointment to discuss my symptoms the response was "I don't see the point" Later requested a phone appointment to discuss Testosterone and was told due to the nature of my request this would have to be a face to face appointment. Upon arrival I am told they cannot prescribe Testosterone. When I asked why I needed to come in to find this out the response was "nothing to do with me" I just hope that when these doctors need help they get the care and support that we all deserve

Managed to get an appointment months ago and was prescribed a daily drug as a repeat prescription. Suddenly, this was no longer a repeat prescription and I was unable to request it via the app. I called the practice and was given an email address to contact. I was given an automated email response saying that it would take 2-3 days and I could pick it up at the pharmacy. 4 days later the pharmacy still had no word of my request. I spoke to the receptionist in the GP and was told that I did not have a repeat prescription, despite having been able to repeat it for months. After being assured that this was resolved, I went every day to try to collect my prescription, each time being told it'd be ready the next day or so. I've now experienced a full week of withdrawal and still don't have my prescription. It's easy to understand that there are many checks and balances in the system for a reason, but it's less easy to understand how something I could easily repeat before is now disregarded. So confusing and disappointing.

North Leeds Medical Practice is in my opinion one of the best practice in Leeds. I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Jackson today, and I can honestly say she is an amazing doctor. She truly stands out for her compassion, kindness, and incredibly positive attitude. What impressed me most is how well she listens to her patients—she takes the time to understand every concern and makes you feel genuinely heard and cared for. Both my husband and I have seen her several times, and each experience has been consistently supportive and reassuring. Dr. Jackson is a true professional with a warm heart, and we’re so grateful for the care she provides. Thank you !

Three months ago you could get antibiotics over the phone as the GP surgery’s we’re not having face to face appointments. When you have a telephone appointment and ask for some antibiotics the reply was no sorry we need to see you even when I’m delivering in another city then the advise me to phone 111 when by that time I get the ring back I will be back in Leeds. 30 years ago proper GPS would read your records and notice you have a history or a certain infection and give you antibiotics and call you by your first name. This surgery is only responsive to the surgeries needs and not the patients needs and is definitely not well lead. My wife phone the other week and asked for some steroids for her chest as antibiotics do not work now she phone up again to aske for steroids to get her over this chest infection. Why don’t you listen for once to the patient s rather than going by the recommendations of the GP

WARNING not a disabled friendly place, i have repeatedly tried to type in my reg into the permit machine but get fined £100 a time due to my disability which makes this process really hard. there is no help, so a visit to this surgery by car will cost you a minimum of £100. what an awful way to treat sick people.

Never known a doctor like this 1 you can never get an appointment two the drs alway fob you off 3ring up one months to put a prescription in and the next month you have to send an email, 4 if you ring up you can never get through it always at capacity. I have recently change drs due to house move, I am 7 month pregnant can’t ever get a midwife appointment sent over my repeat prescription from old drs to to told by these I don’t need half of my medication with out even been seen by a drs, if ring up for my 2 year old I get fob off with going to a and e as no appointments available my old dr told me any child under 5 must been seen or at least spoke to a dr. I have called cqc about this surgery and they are awake and they are not bothered something needs to be done asap they don’t care about there patients They don’t even deserve 1 start

It seems like the partners are way too hands-off to run this place well. Still, in that regard they're probably not that much worse than the rest of the modern GPs. The regular text messages they send out saying they are short-staffed doesn't inspire any confidence in their ability to manage their practice, or staffing levels - I wonder what message they think these text send out. I already avoid them for all but absolutely essential stuff and so must everyone else. Great building and facilities... but the partners need to get a firmer grip if they can. Let's hope Harrogate Road do eventually rebuild the effectiveness of their surgery.

Tried to make an appointment for months time, plenty of notice just for a blood test, no problems previously, they change the bloody criteria every time you ring up, it’s like jumping through hoops. I’m fuming been going to this doctors all my life and they are no help whatsoever
